Satire at its finest. The first tackle from the Bevanator would be worth the drive down the Hume at next seasons petrol prices.

      Are you serious?

The mark he took from ROK's long kick in his "Andy Worhol game", the 05 SF, was against two opponents. You keep harping back to that game often enough I'm surprised you've forgotten!

It was a running chest mark against the softest defender playing in that match Steve Johnstone. Appreciated the mark but it was hardly John Coleman.

You really are struggling aren't you? How about you give it a rest and focus on your Bevo-love instead.

connolly- you have probably added the most posts to this thread and they have been negative, petty snipes- don't you think that is a sad way to spend your retirement?

Perhaps you should, god forbid, take a lesson from one Nick Davis and show a bit of maturity and class.
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

I'm not sure that I can. Neither can I recall Bevan:
                1. roving a ball up
                2. losing his opponent
                3. getting himself to the place to where the ball was tapped
                4. kicking the goal with his non-preferred foot despite not taking clean possession
                5. with seconds to go
                6. in an elimination final.

As a matter of fact, I can't recall Kirk doing it either. So what?

Or another way of looking at it over the past 5 years:

Swans with Nick Davis = 4 flags
Swans without Nick Davis = 3 flags

Swans with Paul Bevan = 4 flags

Absolutely. Listening to the last quarter commentary of the 05 semi, Hudson said, "Nick Davis has single handedly put the Swans in the preliminary final!".

Don't think I have heard any one say that about Bevan!!

i cant recall a swans contested mark in the last 5 years.

this myth davis played one game @@@@s me, here are his top rated games the semi final is only the 15th best, you will note a few of his best are early 2006, makes you wonder why he was dropped that year, given the start to his season. If we are going to keep bringing bevan up as someone here does, how many games has he played that come close to any on this list, yet he is still given chance after chance, if davis was not dropped at random over the last couple of years i think he would be a different player right now. Davis being dropped in 2006 was always amazing. He wasn't playing so badly and he had no premiership credits, despite being one of the ones who deserved them the most, while Roos was out talking up premiership credits for the next couple of years on some other underperforming players.

Bingo Bloods - well said. Selective premiership credits.
I used to be indecisive, but now I'm not so sure..................

The most recent comment I recall reading about Bevan was the Herald Sun match report of the second final, which described him as a "dream match-up" for his opponent and talked about him being totally outpaced and outclassed - just what you want from a tagger. \o/

Nick Davis was a good contributor to the swans but his time was up. I'd be suprised if anyone picks him up cos all the other coaches will realise what Roo's correctly does- the game has passed him by. Personally I wont be lossing any sleep.
