Goodbye Nick Davis

I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time -
Yes, UglyDuckling (and others) - FANTASTIC - There are no other words to describe it. It gave us a tilt at the flag, one the team repaid two weeks later.
Now show me a YouTube of Nick Davis in that form, with that impact, with that desire ... SINCE ... that great night in 2005?
Didn't think so - and don't give me the line he was hardly on the park - There have been plenty of times.
I don't like him going anymore than most here, but he has done sweet @@@@ all for the last 3 seasons...Time to give someone else a go.
*sigh*
i think its been shown that is not true many many timesTheres not much left to sayComment

That's simply not true.
Have a look at his numbers in 06 and 07 and compare them to other players in the team. The view that either he only has had one good quarter in his career or that he's done nothing since 2005 has become rather hackneyed (as much as the interminable KFC references).Captain Logic is not steering this tugboat.

As I posted elsewhere. The Geelong game could be seen as the worst thing that happened to Davis. That's simply not true.

Would have been up for it at the start of this season. Christ I've aged this season. But ROK in the words of the great WC Fields "You are only as young as the woman you feel." I hope after the forthcoming summer of love next season I'll be up to it.Bevo bandwagon driverComment
