Seriously, 13 @@@@ing pages of what???? Haven't you all learnt by now arguing with Connolly is like trying to reason with a screaming 4yo with ADD in the lollies section of Woollies as to why he/she can't have a can of Red Bull and a Mars bar??? Sure you need to teach the child but in the end, a slap on the ass is the only real solution. He's NEVER EVER going to admit that Bevo had a shocker even if everyone else agrees that Bevo is a gutsy player and deserves his spot in the team. It's beyond his capability of reasoning.

    Get over it, move on.
If i may comment on the analogy against me? Wrestling with a pig in mud might be more appropriate. At some time during the wrestle someone might realise that the pig is enjoying it.

[QUOTE=Bear;438021]I would agree it's time to move on from the mother of all shockers 42 had against Geelong.

Only problem is, this extraordinary shocker QUOTE]

We have moved from shocker to extraordinary shocker. Extraordinary!

Excuse me for not bothering to look but did anyone on these 13 pages mention Ling's hit on Bevo?

It was the kind of hit you get on a day that Bevan was having.

I'm amazed he got up and kept playing. My view of him as a player didn't improve on Sunday but he confirmed he's up there with Kirk as a toughnut.

Rock i don't know about Bevo but i am having an absolute Barry Crocker this week. First the killing at Kardinia Park (with admittedly the kid not having one of his best days), then somehow the edit thingo has disappeared off the RWO site for me (and while i am at it who removed the photo of the Bevanator off my sig?????) which means i am writing like Jack Kerouac with a typewriter in bad light, i misplaced my glasses for two days and the smart arse from Queensland has yoked me to the plough for an extra two years as a long and winding road of honest toil was within sight of pension nirvana. i know this is small beer in the sylvan tranquility of the nation's capital but im under the pump and a fine public education is no help.

Connolly ... I'll be at the Hawks match in June.
Please let me buy you a keg of beer.
Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.

Saw the hit from Mooney, saw the bump/shephard from Rooke.

Can't say I remember a bump from Ling. If that happened, he had a worse day at the office then I thought.

Despite the "shocker" that everyone is pescribing too, we didnt perform that differently to last year when they did us by 49. Still ended up in the eight and still ended up playing two finals. Geelong at home is not a reliable benchmark to be writing off players careers or the teams season.

Am I dreaming red-haired Cats? Anyway, big hit, well soaked-up by poor Bevo. Can only get better for him next week.

Glad the Swans don't have the "I guess I'll give up now" attitude.

If you keep at it, one day, in the distant future, connolly will have an epiphany and realise exactly where Bevan stands in the pantheon of Swan greats...I'm pretty sure it will be somewhere with a toilet brush in hand, rather than sitting proudly atop the shoulders of Skilton and Kirk.

The eternal connundrum "what happens when an unstoppable force meets an immovable object" was finally solved when David Hasselhoff punched himself in the face.

I'd rank the Bevanator right alongside the great Eric Sarich. One of an amazing number of itch players to come from the WA Croatian community - Gaspar, Jakovich, (2) Grijusich, (2) Sumich, Pavlich - he wasn't big but tough. Remember him putting Barassi over the fence at the Lake Oval (when Barass was playing for the Crims, after Bob Menzies favourite player had decked the saintly Des Bethke behind the play. Sarich specialised in hospitalising Crims with fearsome hip and shoulders. He also sued Barassi (relying on a fading memory here) for comments that he made on tele about his playing style. Very good player to have on your side. And high praise indeed.

All this crap I have just wasted my time reading.FFS THE SYDNEY SWANS were pantsed by possibly the best team of the modern era.To choose Bevan as the whipping boy this week is unbelievable. He had at least sixteen mates who went missing as well.

Well, Pavlich is actually a Croweater, but you did forget Gastev.

Eric's brother Ralph wasn't much good at footy but it turned out there was tad more $ in orbital engines.

And yes Bevo had a shocker but I'm sure he'll bounce back.
