Bevan: How long has he got?

I would agree it's time to move on from the mother of all shockers 42 had against Geelong.
Only problem is, this extraordinary shocker will have been seen by all football departments and our weakness exposed so glaringly, that Bevan will now be focussed on EVEN MORE by the opposition as the major weak link in our defence.
If Bevan plays in the back six or even in a defensive midfield role, it will only get worse from here - both for our team and on RWO. So, get used to it."As a player he simply should not have been able to do the things he did. Leo was a 185cm, 88kg full-back and played on some of the biggest, fastest and best full-forwards of all time, and constantly beat them." Roos.
Leo Barry? you star! We'll miss ya, ''Leapin''.Comment

In fact I wouldn't mind seeing Bevan play as a defensive midfielder, it's a job he might do quite well with a reasonably realistic match-up.He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)Comment

Can someone start "The Connolly is right and everyone else is wrong thread" please? We need somewhere where he can post all day about how great Bevan is and give the rest of us some peace.
Seriously, 13 @@@@ing pages of what???? Haven't you all learnt by now arguing with Connolly is like trying to reason with a screaming 4yo with ADD in the lollies section of Woollies as to why he/she can't have a can of Red Bull and a Mars bar??? Sure you need to teach the child but in the end, a slap on the ass is the only real solution. He's NEVER EVER going to admit that Bevo had a shocker even if everyone else agrees that Bevo is a gutsy player and deserves his spot in the team. It's beyond his capability of reasoning.
Get over it, move on.Comment

I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his timeComment

I'm not even a Bevo fan but do you really think the 15 other coaches out there saw anything that would change their game plan against us?
All that 15 other football departments saw on Saturday was The Sydney Swans having a bad day at the office, some having a worse day than others!Comment
