The ball just landed in their arms as if ordained.

Anybody else get that same feeling?

That seems to happen quite often against the crows at AAMI....for the crows I mean.

Not only our day but they are "our team". They are almost a tailor made beatable opposition. They have a shortish, slowish and very weakish tackling forward line. Poor old Trdders is like a NSW railway timetable - he just keeps getting slower. Next year when we play them i expect he will be going into reverse. Their midfield has been gutted of its grunt with the Carr brothers demise and therefore have a very soft midfield that just hates playing in a confined space. Their defense is looser than than Mathew Johns y fronts on tour. So they are slow in the forwards, soft in the guts and loose in defense. And they have the Bogan, the man who wore a Mowhawk and an air of superiority in a home final and had his opponent Goodsey destroy him. And finally their coach Choc is to Roosey what Wylie D Coyote is to the roadrunner. You have to love em.

Yes, I thought Crouch took our small defensive role up a few notches this year with his quick hands in traffic, close man-on-man checking, smart shepherding, ability to time the spoil properly (no airswings), attention to both the ball in flight AND his direct opponent at the same time, and yeah, attacking STRAIGHT line runs out of defence.

Bring on the little slimebag Aker.

Leo Barry? you star! We'll miss ya, ''Leapin''.

I'm watching the replay and Port were quite simply appallingly pathetic. Their fans must be the most frustrated in the league along with Freos.

One thing I wanted to ask was what was the argy bargy between Bogun and Jessie?

So we have been "improved" by a player two years past his prime, injury prone and whose dedicated scragging has been umpired out of the game. If this is some sort of leg pull fair enough but if you really expect anyone to believe that a small defender who has never taken an overhead mark, at his best struggled to hit downfield targets, is five yards slower than before his injury and is in his superannuation lap improves our backline (against what??) then god help us. Jack will get Acker and that contest should be ackerjack. Over the hill small defenders trying to run out of the lightning quick Bulldogs forward line will be easy Pal for quick dogs. Crouch will be back in the more sedate twos where he can play out the remaining games of a pension contract for great service performed.

The Bogan should have been arrested for acting under false pretences when he tried (once again) and failed (once again) with the tough guy role. Our Jessie might have suggested he was unconvincing - as in "yer big jessie"

I thought his bandage was pretty scary looking.

I saw McHack coming out after all the punters had gone home (it really helps missing that last bus to Central). I told him that because of his fantastic playing, I now get nowhere in a hurry, said that it's good to finally see why he came to us as a #5 pick, and told him that I thought he is a much better player now than his brother. He was pretty chuffed to hear that!!

Got stacks of signatures on my hat today ... Jolly, B1, Macca, Cheese, Bevo (who is quite cute), Teddy, gave MickyO a hug, and had the pleasure of feeling up duck's butt. (Man, that thing is made of cement!!)

All in all ... tops day!

Way too harsh. Crouch will stay in the team and will play his role as he always does.

This is his last year. He's been a great servant of the club. Reality can be harsh as we feel the chill of life's autumn. Believe me.
