Weather too! If it was wet Kennedy might nudge out Hannebury...It's all about depth and flexibility which the Swans have in abundance now.I am really positive about them!Comment

..And the Swans are the Premiers...The Ultimate Team...The Ultimate Warriors. They have overcome the highly fancied Hawks in brilliant style. Sydney the 2012 Premiers - Gerard Whately ABC

Roos always plays the players we pick up in the trade period.
Plus I reckon that there is 12 certanties.
Shaw, McVeigh, O'keefe, C Bolton, Jack, White, J Bolton, Mattner
LRT, Kirk, Goodes & Grundy throw in a possible Bradshaw and that only leaves 5 spots for the likes of Hannebery, Meredeth, Malceski, Currie, Barlow, Veszpremi, Bird, Ablett, Richards, Playfair, Thornton, Moore, Smith, Bevan, O'Dwyer. I can see a few unhappy young players.Comment

Daring to dream !! with Bradshaw now all but signed and Tag looking closer....it is time to expect MORE
We have fantastic depth........and if the guys who played a handful of games each just keeping rising then we are looking great !
Although I think we will see a lot of Goodes in the HF line I feel it is best to start him on the ball.......ie White will push up next to Bradshaw for close to half the game when Goodes pushes into HF...........but lets keep Goodes free to start and let the Coaches of the opposition worry about us.......and how to shape up on our forwards
F: Moore, Bradshaw, Hannebery
HF: Ryan, White, Jude
Midfield: Jack, Mumford, Kirk, McGlynn, McVeigh, Goodes
HB: TAG, Bolton, Shaw
B: Mattner, RLT, Grundy
Bench: Seaby, Barlow, Malceski, Bird (Ablett)
Smith
Kennedy
Richards
O'Dywer
Johnston
Meredith
Veszpremi
Pyke
Playfair
Heath
Currie
Thornton
and more I have forgotten............Last edited by Auntie.Gerald; 24 October 2009, 08:04 PM."be tough, only when it gets tough"

PS I think it is a difficult to match up on our forward line in 2010......the teams with strong tall backs will struggle to keep up with our smaller forwards.......our youth coming thru fighting for spots each weekLast edited by Auntie.Gerald; 24 October 2009, 06:47 PM."be tough, only when it gets tough"

Bradshaw..White....Goodes..3 Good players in the forward line.
OMG..I am daring to dream again..this isn't what being a Swans fan is supposed to be like...I found I was very comfortable when we didn't make the finals...it was like putting on an old comfy jumper. OMG"The Dog days are over, The Dog days are gone" Florence and the MachineComment

I will have another go now, in a different format.
or as Leigh Matthews lays it out: All Australian selection is outdated
In general terms a more realistic selection break up is six forwards, seven defenders and nine midfielders including a ruck man and a second back up follower.
7 defenders: B2, LRT, Shaw, Smith, Grundy, Mattner, Malceski or MOD
9 midfielders: Seaby, Mumford, Kirk, B1, McVeigh, Bird, Pebbles, Kennedy, Hannerbery/Meredith but Ablett will get a spot."Fortunately, this is the internet, so knowing nothing is no obstacle to having an opinion!." Beerman 18-07-2017Comment
