Would be an absolute bargain if we could get a decent pick or player for Bevan.

The fact is he's not in our best 22, so if we manage to use him to snare someone who will be, it's a big win.

Too slow for wing/onball, not big enough to handle CHB/FB. Maybe Longmire thinks he can turn him into a forward??
He is 193, almost as tall as LRT, he has height.

Personally, I think Everitt is a diamond in the rough and we'll bring out the best in him.

Been thinking the same thing, just what role would he play for us and is that the reason he hasn't made it as a regular for the Dogs? Don't we only trade in players who will be good enough and have a role in the 22? He has always been a defender so to make him into a forward is a big step. My impressions are he is about Grundy height but a lot lighter? I remember a handful of games he played in his first year and he looked to be a good reader of the play and set for a briht future so something has gone wrong since.

From memory he wanted to be traded last year too, so his disenchantment at the Dogs is long term.

He may have the height, but he is extremely skinny and doesn't have the appetite for a contest required for a key backman.

We are basically trading one player with attitude issues for another one, and IMO the one we are trading has significantly more upside

Hello! As of about half an hour ago; It is pretty definite that Veszpa is going to Bulldogs for either Stephen Tiller or Andrejs Everitt by tomorrow!
Although quiet upsetting about Veszpa, he hasn't had the best of seasons and I hope we get someone decent for him!

I'm not at all happy to see Ves go but if he does it would want to be for more than Tiller, what would he bring to the Swans? Everitt is a much better trade but I stll think we should be keeping Ves, as Will says, a lot more upside to Ves, he does have X factor.

Tiller ........ still shaking my head on that one!

OUCH..it hurts and tears will fall! Not mine, I am over it already and not that type of guy but I acknowledge it is SAD. I wish him well in the future and thanks for the memories, albeit short ones, and for the vision a few of us had of what might have been.

I think they could be quite similar in regards to attitude. Sometimes you have to ignore their current form if it's been noted that the player wanted out of the Club before or has not been getting opportunities. I've seen plenty a good player lose the plot when they are not in a happy environment. I'm sure our Coaching Staff have seen enough of Andrejs to know that if we get him right he will be far better than he has been lately for the Dogs. The Dogs probably think the same thing about Vez. Sometimes you cut your losses with a player because it's obvious they don't want to be there, you play them if need be and then you look for a good trade. It seems both Clubs are getting what they want. Forget about how good Vez 'may' be. He's not going going to put in for us, he wants to go and we are happy to trade him. Who wants to be sitting here in 3/4 years time saying the same thing about Vez if he was still here?? I don't. I think we can cover him. You can't have a whole team of Vez like players. I back the Clubs judgement. Good Luck Vez!

+1. You basically said everything that's on my mind.

I'll be a little sad to see Vez go but the idea he hasn't been given a fair go is way off the mark. Last year he was clearly in Roos' plans for round 1, being one of the few youngsters retained in the senior team in the late practice matches, when most of the others made way for more experienced players. He then injured his finger on the eve of the season, and when he returned, he appeared to be some way off match fit. Despite this, he got a handful of senior games even though his endurance was still questionable.

This season, there has been nothing in his reserve game form to indicate he was being unfairly kept out of the team. He has never been able to run out a game at reserves level this year, and to my eye looked restricted by more than just inadequate endurance. (Recent reports of a groin injury explain this, if the injury persisted into the season.)

I think he might still have a lot to offer a team but there is a decent size question mark over whether he will ever be able to develop a tank big enough to provide more than the odd cameo. Only time will provide the answer to that. And if Melbourne clubs have got into his ear and persuaded him things will be rosy if only he is to "go back home", the club is probably best off giving him his wish and cashing in while he still has some trade value.

Everitt or Tiller ain't in our best 22, Vez is possibly in our top dozen players, talent wise on our list.
I can't recall Vez having a shocking game at senior level before, and certainly more of a match winner that either of those WB boys.

Everitt I will come around to eventually, but I will spew if we end up with Tiller

Spider has probably put Sydney and it's team in a very positive light for Jr so I will predict that this young man (all of 22 next year) will fill out and get his zip going and be the tall backman that we could have done with this year. It doesn't look good for Teddy though!!

I am a huuuuuuge C Bolts fan but we are not sure he can/will play next year, I do really hope so however we don't know do we! He is tall, he has the footy brain and I think his type is exactly what we need with another speedster in the middle.

Our record with first rounders is so bad. Another one bites the dust, or so it seems.

Everitt will be in our best 22, the boy can play.

He is the ideal type suited by the new interchange rules, can play anywhere, the classic utility.
