Al we have done this a few times this year against teams we should have beaten. I don't reckon under Roos that happened a whole lot. Last night for whatever reason with 3 minutes to go we decided not to close the game down, provided a couple of brain snaps and turnovers, and there goes the game.

We may scrape into the 8 still by default but really we don't deserve to be anywhere near it. We are a joke.
Language probably a bit harsh but I must admit I agee with the general feeling, our inability to close out games when we dominate continues to leave us extremely vulnerable against almost every team we play. I think last night was a horrible horrible loss, I'm sort of at a loss at how positive some fans are about it, we should have won by 20 plus in the end.

I'm all positive about our future, I think yet again Sydney has built a great list without tanking and all the crap that Melbourne clubs love doing to get players, but last night, and games like against Adelaide are a real worry. We have enough top line talent and experience to get us across the line but we aren't. I don't think it's good enough.

Don't forget that we lost to Adelaide aswell people. If I was an opposition supporter I would be laughing at the year Sydney are having.

Doubt too many Port or Melbourne fans would be laughing at us! haha

I'm not sure it's much more than one kpp. A gun ff who could kick straight would turn our side into competitive with every other team in the comp. Unfortunately they don't grow on trees. I keep watching drew Petrie and think he'd kick close to 100 goals a year for us.

I am pretty relieved to know that coaches don't feel the same and value the experience of finals for the team.

You're right it didn't but isn't that related to the playing groups? I felt under Roos we had more experience in the Forward and Back lines ,and midfield under Barry/Bolts/Kirk/Baz/MOL who knew what is needed in those tight games and can take others with them. It was a more even playing group at the senior end with able lieutenants who followed. We have a fair amount of youthful inexperience at the moment who can't execute the skills or show the decision making under pressure that is needed. Goodes was running around everywhere last night but there isn't the equivalents of those I've mentioned before across each line able to rally their comrades. Why wasn't someone screaming at him that he had more time to take an extra bounce. Not sure there is enough voices out there.
We need to find another forward desperately. Poor Sam - hard to beat Fletcher and Carlisle.

im surprised how quickly we moved the ball and generated the shot goodes ended up having, that was good play. Its so hard with a loss like that cos you can isolate so many what if moments, but both teams had them, someone has to lose, was an away game to a fired up team they probably needed the win more than us in some ways. We just need to make sure we dont drop next weeks game now and really we need to beat the saints given positions on the ladder. Im happy with everything bar the result last night, overall. Yes there are a few issues but generally this club is building to a bright future.

agree, they still sook even when they win. Must go through the soothers though, they spend 120 minutes going booooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo boooooooooooooooooooo either at any decision an umpire dare to pay against them or their own players (stanton), they also never lose, they get a raw deal or injuries etc they live in la la land.

Totally agree - many of them on the way out last night were whinging about the umpiring rather than celebrating winning a game that frankly they probably didn't deserve to win. They feel they have an ultimate entitlement to being a quality team year in and year out and should win every game. But the arrogance comes from the top - just look at the 'Lloyd' and 'Fletcher' end junk and then the 'Red energy meter" at their home games.
