They do really good gourmet kangaroo sausages at Hahndorf. In fact when you're not training, you can open a music boom box shop in Hahndorf and have the name changed to Hahndoof doof.Nothing like a good light bulb moment.Comment

What, they need someone to do the Thursday night after training BBQ. Al's reputation precedes him. He won't go though; the women are better in Sydney.Comment

This thread is tapering off into the realms of ridiculous now. Would now be disappointed if we do not get to 100 pages and 1000 posts on this topic so thought i should add another.
The West Australian back page headlines today have "Tippett Point" with a large photo. The Swans are the AFL talking point across the nation. Apparently there was a "positive meeting" last night.
Crows football manager quoted "we let him go all the times he wanted to go home, we developed a team round him that's close to winning a premiership it's not funny"
WOW.
We have the premiership and we do not build premierships around one player. Kurt is just another cog in the TEAM. Other teams just do not get it. Long mire (i meant may) it continue.Comment

I bet the deal has been done and there has been an arrangement between all parties to keep things quiet until the last few days of trade so as to give trade month some relevance.Nothing like a good light bulb moment.Comment

No wonder Tippett opted for Sydney where the pressure of being a Schtarr is thinned out and balanced by the ethics of being in a Team first. He can relax somewhat here. We would expect no more of him than we do of any other player....ooohhhh think I just shot myself in the foot here. No, wait. I think I am on the right track.
The smashup that looks like the Adelaide football club members would do my head in that's for sure. Fancy having to live in a washpool like that. Don't know much about the bloke, I assume he can play a decent game, and if that's the case well and good. Hope the salary doesn't derail team harmony. It could well do you know.If you've never jumped from one couch to the other to save yourself from lava then you didn't have a childhoodComment

No. They heard this thread was approaching a world record and wanting to be a part of it put the announcement on hold until we are over the line.Comment

Having visited Adelaide for work on a number of occasions I can see how supporters and players there get so fired up. In the daily newspaper there is a story every day on one of the 2 clubs and player profiles etc. On TV there is a training or club story on the nightly news. I noticed the same in Perth. It appeared to me like saturation of the 2 clubs so no wonder players get a bit ahead of themselves and supporters think that there should be a local derby weekly. A bit like the yanks thinking there is only one country on this earth.
Interestingly the Melbourne Herald Sun come in daily to the servo I visited and sold out quick smart.Comment

Tippett?
Mummy's deal wasnt huge by industry standards. Roughly 300-400k IIRC. Much more than he was on, but not huge by any stretch of the imagination.Comment
