It's been like a really long Seinfeld episode....

But interesting just to gauge what people felt about the whole thing along the way. I was initially against it as I didn't want to lose any decent players. Then I was for it when it was Jesse plus a draft pick. Then I was against it when it turned really smelly. I don't mind either way what happens in the PSD now...

I cant see Tippett being deregistered.

If he'd got traded, the AFL may have a case, but because he wasnt traded, his contract wasnt exercised.

Adelaide footy club might be in a bit of poo for hiding contracts, and paying outside the cap.

I don't think the club owe us anything. 2 Premierships in 8 years is way above what I ever expected.

To me it seems pretty obvious that we conceded today Tippett was going to the draft. We've duly made salary cap space by offloading fringe players, thus allowing us to frontload his contract enough to outprice rival teams.

                      Yep.... we're keen alright

Maybe Adelaide will want to see the last of him as soon as possible and delist him next week (getting nothing for him anyway) Then he will be an unrestricted free agent and just walk to us. (Of course if he's de-registered he can't do anything!) Of course Adelaide won't do this as they want their pound of flesh and will want him to sweat it out in the draft!

Happy to hear we remain committed to getting Tippett AND we saved Jesse from going to that club full of classless, cultureless arse clowns. I hate to think of what he would have faced from the rabid fans and media in SA.
