I was quite looking forward to having a 200cm key forward who can take a mark (but can't kick), next to our 195cm key forward who can take a mark (but can't kick).
Still, would love to see them working together. Here's hoping we can get him in the ND or PSD.Comment

Wow, this whole fiasco could ultimately benefit us then.
At least we'll have time to see if Tippett cops the full brunt of the AFL (deregistration) and if he doesn't front load his contract to make sure he goes to us and if he does get de-registered save our money for a rainy day, pick up our usual dud with our first rounder but get some absolute guns at 45 and 47 and maybe something decent at 60 something.Official Driver Of The "Who Gives A @@@@ As The Player Will Get Delisted Anyway" Bandwagon.

The rational part of my brain recognises exactly what this is - I'm just in denial. We're after him. Still. Dumping a whole lot of players in the last hours of trade week to free up the cap and maybe bulk up our Tippett offer = guilty. 4 spots on the list open and i'm pretty sure one is there for Tippett.
It's funny becasue i was one of the people who was quite keen about getting him right from the start, but now I'm starting to question his character and our logic.
Are we so neck deep in getting him that we've departed from reasonable logic? I'm starting to feel like we've taken this thing too far and we should have aborted ship the first moment we caught wind of 'AFL investigation' and 'draft tampering'.
I really hope the club comes out and makes a comment. As always we've stayed silent, but they owe us fans something don't they?Comment

it is funny how things work in life
My guess is Jesse was on approx $250k to $300k pa compared KT being offered $1mill pa
Jesse has one year left on his contract and is at a point where he could level jump or remain on his current trend of incremental improvement
Imagine if Kurt turned out terrible and White went on and smashed it.........
I realise the strategy was to capitalise on 2013 being a back to back opportunity and it is a shame so far that we missed out on KT.........lets see how things pan out as Walsh and white have a real opportunity to go up a gear if they want it !"be tough, only when it gets tough"

Its not often I totally agree with you Auntie, but there you go. I totally agree with you.
Maybe the Swans have dodged a bullet and Jesse will become a Schtar@!!If you've never jumped from one couch to the other to save yourself from lava then you didn't have a childhoodComment

Re: Tippett?
Get real. Now that he's available for free clubs will be clamoring to make room I think. I'd say GC, Brissy, WB, Carl would be interested just off the top of my head. We're a chance sure but its a matter of if we still want him and then if we are even capable of getting him.
I'd say he's definitely getting de-registered for a period of time. The evidence is stacking up.
If he wants to be playing for Sydney, he'll be playing for Sydney.Comment
