Ooh, I think the current one has done a pretty good job.
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)

Plenty of work from the Rick whisperer I think!
I don't think he was trying very hard.

Nothing to stop him leaving after two years but he cost us nothing and i he wants to go elsewhere he'll need to be traded meaning we get something back for nothing.

Can't see him wanting to go to a third club given the @@@@e he has copped for just leaving the Adelaide Cows. He will after all be leaving the best club in the AFL and don't see him wanting to do that.

Just watching the replay of the Hawks-Cows Prelim final and Tippett is having a great game. Clunks marks like Reid, salivating at the pairing of thoe two and the difficulties it should give opposition teams. Hoping Membrey steps up as reckon he'd be a difficult match up too for different reasons, as will Goodes. Salivating even more now!

No different from any other end-of-contract player. He'll get offered a fresh contract on the basis of his performance.

              Tippett!!

He's still be referred to in the
Media as our 3.5 million dollar man?? Do you think there's some sort of expectation that we will fulfill that figure ( it that was the figure) that was initially agreed upon, after his initial 2 year contract is up?

Jon Ralph explained this in an article earlier this week. He opted for 2 years (the minimum initial contract) in case he was taken by another club rather than Sydney. (Good thinking I'd say - minimise his stay at an un-preferred club, plus put off clubs who may have felt he was costing a lot of money for one and a half seasons.)

Last paragraph of article today says club will be discussing 4 year contract as early as next month.

I think it is time to deKurtify. Every player at our club is treated equally. He is now in preseason training with the mob and it is time for him to lose the love handles. The controversy is over as far as I am concerned, he got his penalty and has to wear it. We have to wear it. Jared welcomed him and he is looking forward to meeting his teammates. The test now is whether he embraces the Bloods culture, I think he will and his work rate will get even better here. We need to think team as does this young bloke and he will. there are 10 other new young fellas having a go too and they are just as much a part of this great footy club.
