Great effort. Its hard to part with a good mullet.
How did you get the words "good" and "mullet" in the same sentence?

Agree. We did get a glimpse of what Sam can do: just check the club site's Plays of the Day. A nice clean mark by Sam followed by a beautifully weighted kick to O'Keefe in the clear close to goal. Unfortunately, too little too late, but I'm confident that we will see more from Sammy when he is no longer the only real target down the front.
And don't forget that LRT is due back at around the same time as Tippett starts. We will look a different team from this weekend's effort.
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)

        Tipett. House. Training down.

Kurt Tippett steps up fitness program ahead of Sydney debut next month

"You have to rein him in a bit if there's any danger he's training too hard," Spurrs said.

I particularly like his comment about Sam at the end.

              Is Tip-Off still here.

OMG. I didn't expect him to last this long without getting concussion.

              Oh. Wait.

And yet he's close to being the most important player on our list before playing a game for us.

This is my first post on RWO. I've been following everyone's posts for a few months and I thought that there was no better way to pop my RWO cherry than adding to the thread that provided so much off-season entertainment for me: the Tippett thread!

My view from the beginning has been that signing Tippett is an extremely good thing, as he will no doubt play an important role for us, one that we need to remain a premiership contender. Generally speaking we're the only top contender that hasn't put a dominant forward on the field, and I look forward to that happening.

And now to post on the Freo thread re last night's game. I just wanted my first time to be special...

Thanks Scott. Interesting times ahead. Can't help but feel that we're just trying to 'hang in there' at the moment.

                        Exactly.

We've beaten no one of note so far, and we have a tough month.
I thought before the Hawks game if we come out with 8 points minimum in the next 4 games we will be doing well.
So far we have 2 points from 2 games. Going to be tough to get at least 6 more points in the next 2 games the way we are playing.
Cruise mode, i think it is called.

I have no doubt we are capable of dramatically turning around our form, and Tippetts inclusion I am sure will be a big contributing factor. The query is whether we ca do enough before we find our groove to not let a top 4 berth slip away. It's looking a bit shaky at the moment, and our run home is none too kind

Would not worry too much. Longmire said we are not far off our best. So it cannot be too far off .They will just play so-so until
round thirteen, then they will unleashed Tippett and Mitchell and it will be a different ball game. Oh well that's the theory.

The playing "so-so" may have ended last night and we still have to unleash Tippett.
