Let you know after the grand final winning dinner!
Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.

Taking Tippett To Take Tapping To The Top Tier Today. With multiple defenders likely to be trying to stop him marking we will need our runners to be at the drop of the ball to prevent the Cats turning defence into attack.

And the other thing I want to point out is his teammates reactions to him. It looks like they like him as a person big time. Always a very good indicator of approval rating within the ranks, and it looks to be high.

He's the kind of guy people naturally look up to.

Tippett needs to be played in the backline until the first goal of the game is kicked to ensure HE doesn't kick it! Port, Collingwood & Geelong. Tippett first goal = loss

Fairly obvious I'd have thought ... Sam Naismith is the only player on our list who doesn't look up to Kurt Tippett

I gonna come out and say what may be on many others' minds and has been alluded to in the past.
We suffer with a game plan that involves Kurt being a prime and regular target.
I was kind of hoping that our last few games were poor form, rather then having to concede that we have become one dimensional when Tippett plays, but we did play better without him as a forward.
I hope there are other roles he can fill (ruck etc) and that the coaching staff have plans in place to move him around the ground more and allow different attacks at different times.
I'm not sure the players will do anything other than kick it to Kurt if he's there and that could be a worry.

I remember saying the same thing with Plugger once, when we went through a phase where it was obvious what we were going to do when we entered the forward half.
Hall to a lesser degree as he was more mobile and creative than Plugger IMO.
Tippett has the athleticism and skills to be used in different positions, and this could be our secret weapon in the finals.

next year, I hope the team is trained to attack in different ways.
I still see Tippett as being vital to our team - just needs tweaking in how he fits in.

I know what you're saying but you'd like to think our mids would be alert and educated enough to see monsters like Pyke, White and Mumford as well!

                          I hope so.
In the end its up to the coach to position the players in the right spots to present options, as well as designing an effective game plan.

We've looked one dimensional because we haven't had Goodes and Reid while Tippett has been in the side. Our midfield has also been beaten frequently in the second half of the season.

That's it in a nutshell. If our midfield can dominate or at least hold their own, those long bombs under pressure become short passes to a leading forward. As P46 say's, our midfield has been under intense pressure lately and when they are forced to bomb it long under pressure, quite obviously they are going to send it to Tippett's general vicinity.

Make no mistake, Hawthorn would be having nightmares thinking of the last time Tippett played against them, one of the most dominant performances of 2012 by any forward in any game. He will have Lake standing him rather than Schoenmakers, but Lake's strength is his ability to run off and counter attack and if he gets into a wrestle like Schoenmakers did, Tippo will cause plenty of problems...
