I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time -
Funny and just what you would expect from Heath. Our Brandon Jack would never make that kind of error. Our Swannies are cultured like pearls.Comment

Huh! Do you really think the Swans are going to contemplate trading their most important mid, in the prime of his career, who re- signed a few months ago for pick 9 in the draft?Comment

"I will be forever grateful to the Swans for this opportunity," Kennedy told The Daily Telegraph. "When I came here four years ago to think that I would be in the position that I'm in now signing another four-year deal is an amazing feeling."

I get the impression that some are desperately beating up the fallacy that the Swans are having a fire sale to pay for Franklin. The rational comments made by Ireland and Colless about the financial impact of Franklin's contract, and how it will be funded by the Swans, have been ignored.Comment

Doesn't sell papers and ad space. Plus it what people want to hear for no other reason than jealousy. I mean have people already forgotten about the bombers? We are being treated like filthy cheats and the melbourne media are the ones who are manufacturing it.
The story about the IR guys, to me there was an underlay of the media trying to muddle the bloods culture, with what who is coach, then Lance and jetta being involved. Even the article trying to muckruck Lance leaving for game 2 and for properly being in a really good mood and being jovial was just the media trying to turn public opinion against something they mythologised, which is the bloods culture. Sure it exists, but the media have written about it as some magical secret society.
Now people are using it as some sort of ridicule device, which is silly but damn it can get annoying.Comment

The JPK rumour as I've heard it is he was "bullied" at Hawthorn by Buddy and was one of the reasons he left. That plus he's supposedly underpaid and angry that buddy is taking the money that should be going to him. Sooooo he's apparently keen to reunite with Roosy at DemonlandComment

Hard to believe. He signed a new four year contract with the Swans in March 2013 and said at the time:
"I will be forever grateful to the Swans for this opportunity," Kennedy told The Daily Telegraph. "When I came here four years ago to think that I would be in the position that I'm in now signing another four-year deal is an amazing feeling."

Most of our key young mids are tied up until the end of 2016 I believe. Assuming KT drops off at that stage and combined with a salary cap increase we should be able to re-sign them then.
I think we need to accept that we may lose one or two players over the next year or two but we have the core of a squad to be title contenders for the next three years and I don't think we need to look any further than that tbhComment
