It's been said here before but I just want to say it again: the double-standards in the AFL media are astonishing. Hawks and Geelong can go after who they want, but Swans would be cheating if they did that again. Sick of reading about Cats and Hawks circling decent free agents but Swans get criticized. No one should criticized for going after a player - period.

The comment on Frawley's decision to join the Hawks on the AFL site: Great coup for reigning premier. No-one is better than Hawthorn at attracting quality players to play for them.

Zero outrage about how the best side in the competition can afford to strengthen its squad still further.

But Hawthorn only develop their only players - at least thats what I heard screeched at Swans fans on Saturday.

There won't be one iota of whining come from Eddie's mouth or anyone else on this.... although given what his reported demands were, he will not be on too much less than Tippett.
