?The Australian reports that Greater Western Sydney will target an experienced ruckman to offer support for Shane Mumford and the Giants' developing talls. Western Bulldog Will Minson, Geelong free agent Dawson Simpson and the Sydney Swans' No.2 ruckman Tom Derickx are said to be in the Giants' sights.
?One ruckman who won't be targeted by the Giants according to The Australian is Gold Coast big man Zac Smith, who will nominate as early as this week Geelong or Essendon as his destination of choice. AFL.com.au reported on Friday that the Swans are also in the frame for Smith.

He is miles behind Minson and Simpson...hopefully both of them end up somewhere else and they take TomD...we'll happily accept pick 125

Yes please - happy to drive up to Sydney and drive the list clogger out to Homebush. Not that I have anything against TomD as a person (seems a very nice guy), but in reality he is simply not AFL standard.

Lake and Hale have both retired which pretty much guarantees that Schoenmakers stays at Hawthorn.

I enjoy looking at Jennifer Lawrence as well...funnily enough she would probably be just as effective in the ruck as TomD.

They want back up for Mumford and Tom's third in line behind Bulldog Minson and Geelongs Dawson Simpson.

Paige Cardona has her first phantom draft up.

Has Mills at 3 (note, this is purely ranking, not necessarily where she thinks he will be bid on). The description is:

A gifted and talented on-baller who is arguably the draft?s most complete midfielder. Is a strong overhead mark, a reliable kick for goal, hard, tough and deceptively quick. Loves to use the ball by foot, is a punishing tackler. Has been sidelined with injury for most of the year.

She has Dunkley at 33, description:

A big bodied midfielder with a wonderful footy brain. Strong, contested weapon in close who has worked hard on his outside game. Blessed with leadership and courage, and is strong mark overhead. Has great temperament and competitiveness, and has honed his inside game since debuting as a 15 year old in senior bush footy. Coaches love him.

Nothing we didn't really know about either, but still worthy of a read.

From memory...the description of Heeney last year was almost identical to Mills.

Would be really handy if he can slot straight in like Isaac and be a first 22 player next season.

A good character reference for Dunks, sounds like a good addition at the right price

I mentioned this in a conversation with R1 on Twitter last night, but people saying we shouldn't pick up Dunkley because of his lack of speed/class/skill etc. need to remember that in a few years time our midfield will have plenty of class in the form of Heeney, Mills and hopefully Hewett.

I know guys like Hanners and Kennedy will still be around for the majority of it but with Parker/Mitchell/Heeney/Mills/Dunkley/Hewett that is a genuine 10-12 year midfield with a really good mix of inside and outside, as well as goal-kicking, overhead marking and general toughness.

While we are talking about having too many ruckman, has Dawson Simpson come up in discussions?

Havent seen a huge amount of him, but seemed like he could be a sausage eater Mk II. Would be a better short term solution than the D-Rex thats for sure.

If Geelong end up with Leuenberger, Simpson would be surplus to requirements

As said earlier, GWS are interested in him as back up for Mummy. No word yet if we're interested. They (GWS) are also looking at Minson and our own Tommy-D!

Can't play big Dawson. Only slightly better than Derickx.
