This rumour has being going around for a while now... question is, do we think the Swans should trade Tippett for O'Meara (assume we end up with the same or very similar draft picks and O'Meara has a similar salary to Tippett)?

Tippett was recruited as a forward and has become a ruckman, but we have too many ruckmen. Would the Swans be a better side if we (1) lost Tippett (2) retained Nankervis (3) got JOM (4) had a fit Sam Reid playing in the forward line? I think we probably would.

Can anyone really imagine Tom Harley or Kinnear Beatson involved in a "near-brawl". Seriously!

It's a total wind up joke account. Most likely written by a 12 year old.
I have enjoyed watching the followers grow and the reply streams get populated by the gullible. So many are believing the creative or getting indignant at the scuttlebutt. A great exercise in how to build a SM following

            This is all very complicated.
            We have lost
            Teddy Richards - retired
            Ben McGlynn - retired
            Tom Derickx - retired
            Kyle Galloway - delisted
Tom Mitchell - in the process of being traded.
The only other delisting I can see is Jack Hiscox. Any other?
We made the gf with a lot of young players - I can't see the Swans wanting to trade in players. I can only see us trading for draft picks.
JOM wants to go to Melbourne - nothing to see here for the Swans.
As a Swans supporter I don't really care what other stunts Whorethorn are pulling so long as we get a decent pick for Tom Mitchell.

Nankervis down to Swans, Tigers and Bulldogs from Manager via trade radio. Interesting to see how this plays out. If he does go I hope we get fair value for him.

"Hawks have traded picks to get hold of St Kilda's pick 10. Crucial to get Jaeger deal done. Saints receive '17 1st-round pick."

Tigers at 6 and 27 and Bulldogs at 18 and 40

Nankervis and 14 for Tigers 6 or maybe 27.

                  Nothing but 18 from Bulldogs

If you put yourself in the shoes of those clubs, there is no way that you would accept that.

                      +1
We'd be lucky to get pick 27 for him

I told you all that we would get stuffed by Hawks. Now they have done a deal to get st kildas pick10 + for a 2017 ist rounder. Why didn't we wait until near the end and maybe woe could have got pick 10 not 14. Rumour is that the Hawks will use that for O'Meara . Suns have a lot of ist rdners. Its not that they the hawks could use pick 10 on omeara, that doesn't worry me, its that we could have used 10 better. We are too easy in trade week. Soft touches. Unless we can trade 14 for suns 10.

Sounds like another manager getting a commission for moving a player and talking about 3 clubs in the window. Apparently Lewis at Hawthorn or Melbourne is absolutely filthy that Vickery would be getting more and they had the temerity to ask him to take another pay cut. So another manager gets what appears very good dollar for a spud. Clubs are getting more gullible by the day.

I've got no interest in what Hawthorn loose, or end up with.....

IMO, regardless of what trades they do, they won't make the 8 next year...or the year after.

The value points for this year's picks given to STK (23 and 36) for pick 10 are equal to pick 11. So the Saints get Hawthorn's 2017 first round basically for free. Hawthorn got screwed big time.

Anyway, what player will be available at pick 10 and not at pick 14 that we desperately need and simply must trade up for? Please help, because I can't think of any. I believe there will be very good players available at our first round picks and hope Beatson takes the right ones.

I think the 1st 2 picks likely to go this year, McCluggage and McGrath are a cut above, but it flattens out quite a bit after that. There are a number of good inside mids and a few tall guys that might go before pick 14, but then there are a lot of outside players with pace and skill that will be available when our numbers come up.

80pts our way and they get Towers
