I get your point but clubs don't usually look at our depth players unless they've been exposed to senior footy like Membrey, Biggs and Nankervis who had a solid run in the seniors before requesting a trade. Neafl is weak competition hard to judge how they are sometimes look at BJ. I'm sure he's on their list but he would be at the bottom end.
Plus they want someone like Gibbs and are going after Menzel for around 500k.

They need more midfield depth. Their list managers would be definitely keeping an eye on him. Dawson has been exposed to senior footy just like Membrey. If they could get him cheap they'd jump at the chance. I'll put it this way if Brisbane had a 190cm big bodied midfielder killing it in the neafl and was from Sydney I've got no doubt we'd try and get him cheap. A good player is a good player whether he plays in the neafl, vfl or the tsl.

Liked Dawson's numbers in today's NEAFL game, he must be getting close to another senior game, this time in a team that is in form. Strong 190cm players with booming left foot don't come along every day. I think he's a must keep.

So do I. Not just a big bodied mid but a big bodied that can rotate through a half forward flank.

For obvious reason Talia will be delisted or traded and Aliir no idea why he's not playing seniors last year he was the missing piece to winning a premiership now in the reserves. Anyone know what the issue is it form or discipline?

Now that Newman and Melican who seems to be a good replacement for teddy cemented their place in the 22 there is no spot for him, partially his own fault really could have played in the Lions game. No we gave 2016 pick 70 for Talia & 2015 pick 69. He basically came for free

Players of that caliber get given away. Like I said I believe Laidler would be given away and that's if a club would even want him, maybe Brisbane. Those type of players are good depth in good sides but are list cloggers in weak sides.

Which Kennedy? There is talk that Himmelberg if he leaves would prefer the crows as his bro plays there. We would have had the chance to pre list Sproule last year if we wanted him & if he wanted to come to us so I don't think he's any chance to come plus I don't rate him that highly anyway. Good depth but not best 22 for me. He's on the rookie list so like I said before there is a very good chance he'll be on their main list but there has been no information about if rookies getting promoted will be aloud to be traded so most likely there wouldn't be a trade. We'd have to pick him up as a DFA or draft him. But like I said I wouldn't want him.

I think Brown is still the most likely of the academy players to be drafted. We'll have to wait and see on the others.

Murray is around the size of Rampe and has been playing HB in recent weeks. I don't think he'll be delisted based on current form.


I definitely think we'll be doing everything possible to keep Dawson. He hopefully gets a few senior games this year. His reserves form has been great.

Be a good get at the right price. M.Kennedy is from country NSW, its how he ended up in the GWS academy. I think he'd only come if he knew he'd have a good chance at a regular game time in the midfield. Problem is he would be fighting for regular midfield time with Jones, Heeney & Mills. Just depends what Sydney would have to give up n I don't think GWS will do us any favours.

I'll say one thing in regards to drafting is that's it's utterly rediculous in this day n age that the afl does not provide a live stream of every under 18 championship game. They are trying to turn draft night into a big event and want what the NFL have but can't even be asssed to provide a service to allow people to watch each game. Then people get stuck at listening to the podcasts and only getting one point of view. Draft night works in the NFL because joe public get to watch the college system live and then sit back and make their OWN mind up who they would like their team to pick. Amateur hour at its best.

Just an aside, after Hawthorn dropped to second last I thought I would look up what they actually did give to get O'Meara, as it currently stands.

Saints got 2016 picks 23 & 36 plus 2017 currently pick 2 for 2016 pick 10. That's 2, 23, 36 for 10! What a deal.

Gold Coast got 2017 pick 10 & 2018 pick 20 for O'Meara who wanted away and had two years out with knee probs

Hawks gave up 2016 pick 23 & 36 plus 2017 Pick 2 & pick 20 so picks 2, 20, 23, 36 for O'Meara, hmmm but loving it!

It's just typical AFL boys club "she'll be right mate". They have a chance to build a niche following of underage footy but are so out of touch. All clubs now have an academy so you would find just like in the old days of under 19's that supporters will be a lot more interested than in the past. Yesterday you had academy players from Sydney, GWS, Brisbane, Gold Coast, North Melbourne & Hawthorn playing n they can't even be assed putting any information out in regards to the game. It would also bring supporters of those clubs to show an interest in the rest of the players due to the possibility of drafting one of those players. It's called growing the game. That's why I put my complaint in this thread as it's really more to do with drafting, whether that be from your academy or other players. Now people will read what twats like twomey write n think he's some guru. No he just has access to the games unlike us.
