I would think that Watts would take the place of our 2nd ruckman. One ruckman seems to be the direction the game is heading and it would also make us more mobile. I would have some doubts about Buddy, Reid and Watts playing in the forward line. It seems too tall to me. I haven't seen much of Watts but my understanding in he's more consistent in the backline?
Or, he becomes key defender which means he replaces melican/mcveigh or someone like that until reg retires.Comment

Watts is tall but I don't see him as a KPP. Not physical enough to compete in the ruck. He has an accurate kick from what I've seen and is pretty athletic. If we get him would be interesting where we play him, possibly in the mould of Goodes rotate through wing and half forward

All this Hodge to Brisbane talk is just a smokescreen. He?s really coming to the Swans.Comment

I would of thought that's when the player/coach trust was lost, and is extremely hard to reinstate. He didn't do enough during the season to turn things around.
Got a hammy, which could be linked to his poor pre season.
Maybe the Swans could turn him around, but 9 years of really average footy is a big case against him....No thanks.Whenever you find yourself on the side of the majority, it's time to pause and reflect... MTComment

the needs - goal kicking midfielder
Not to be mistaken from a midfielder that goes forward
Another classy kicker
The MCG highlights our inability to pierce through defences.
Watts could be this guy. We have an impeccable record of turning this type of player around
Might be worth looking at Trent Mackenzie as well
Huge kick of the footy. I'm told that the suns have really stifled his game styleComment

Apparently David Armitage is looking to leave the Aints. He would be a good help to Junior as an inside mid for a couple of years?Comment

Couldn't agree more
While they're at it, no more second ruckman, Towers is it. Recent GFs have proved that having a dominant tap ruckman is pointless, you just need one with a big tank who can get involved in general play and take some contested marks. The relief ruckman can basically be anybody over 185cm!
We are clearly overstocked with ruckman at the moment, unfortunately none of them fit the above descriptionComment
