It was pointed out today on afl.com.au that the Swans now have former Bulldogs recruiting chief Simon Dalrymple at the club. He spent 11 seasons at the Bulldogs from 2007-2017.
I wondered if there were any Dogs we might go after via trade or free agency e.g. Libba, Wallis, Dahlhaus, Roughead etc?

Yes, you are right. We did get nothing for him, partly because the Saints had pick one in the PSD.

Damian Barrett stirring the pot about Hanners future with the Swans: Sliding Doors: round 17 - AFL.com.au
If: Rival clubs know one thing about Hannebery ...
Then: It is that he is contracted to the end of 2021. But some have already asked the question, and others will do so in the off-season. There's something strange going on here.Comment

We need to worry less about who comes in and more about who stays. Llloydy is a must. He was runner up in the Bob Skilton Medal last year, most people I kniow agree that he should have won it. He is averaging 33 disposals at 82%. I think the youth policy has started to work really well for us. so trading players out for a star or a player like Darcy Moore is a waste of time in my humble opinion. Moore has not shown a great deal, far less than Tommy McCartin as far as I'm concerned.
I think the last few years have been very productive in drafting. Florent, Hayward, Ronke, Stoddart, Papley and you can also add Mills and Heeney have changed our side drastically. Add McCartin and Amarty (who I believe will be a great player), Aliir, Dawson (when he gets his body right he will be important), Lloydy, Maibaum (Reg's replacement) and boy have we done well from the draft. I personally don't think we need to trade at this time. I don't think we need any more expensive list cloggers like we have had in the past. I mean we traded several players who spent more time in the hospital wing than in the gym. Reid is already in that position and Darcy Moore is another injury prone player with similar problems to Reid.
So why have we not fixed up Lloydy's contract? Because our footy department is looking at a high cost recruit. That can be the only reason. Horse, Harley and the new bloke would be fools not to re-sign Lloydy. They would be telling every team player on our list that no matter how good they are they are not appreciated.Comment

Sadly, there are many who hang on people like Barret's very word and think they are in the know. Just makes stuff up and creates a fantasy world that people believe is true.Comment

Speak no more of this nonsense and innuendo, please.Comment

Genuine question.
Why is Damien Barrett so ridiculed for what he says?
Is it because the majority of it turns out to be incorrect?
Is he a rumormonger rather than a presenter of facts?
I really don't follow closely enough to have much insight.
Don't watch the footy show or any other shows he is on.
Don't listen to the radio, and rarely read sliding doors. The difference between insanity and genius is measured only in success.Comment

He’s the pits. Never gets anything right. Just blatantly makes things up while trying to stir up trouble.
I remember after we lost the first game Tippett played for the club (against Port) he said that Kurt had destroyed the culture of the club.
Complete and utter peanut.Bloods

I've always thought he's pretty close with Eddie McGuire. Is this how otehrs see him?
Would make sense. The difference between insanity and genius is measured only in success.Comment
