He was. He spent two years (as a brand new coach) working with the NEAFL side and then spent 2018 as the backline coach in the senior set-up.

Before the changes last year, people were complaining about a lack of change amongst the coaching ranks, suggesting we needed some new blood. We got that and we'll get some more this year (though I am sad to see Shaw depart).

I’m hoping that’s BS. Why would Parker talk to other clubs if he’s happy at the Swans?

Somethings not right if this is true

Barrett's article has a picture of Luke Parker next to the words "If even half the talk about player unrest is right ... then it is very un-Swans like right now."

Yep - the latest rule tweaks are more fiddling by those that really should see themselves as 'custodians' of the game.

If they were serious about fixing the 'congestion problem' (If you believe it exists), there are two routes to consider that would make a tangible difference imho. Either go to 16 players a side on the pitch, or reduce interchanges allowed significantly.

Kane Cornes is in the same boat as Damian Barrett for reliability..... if he does want out (I doubt it) then we really are up a creek, with something really serious going on behind the scenes.

              Let's blame Stevie J.
Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.

The exodus does sound like players chasing coin elsewhere because the premiership window has closed and they have been staying for "unders" at the swans.

Only one after more coin is Lloyd and understandably
Rohan ans Newman wont get significantly more money if at all
                    Hannas gets his current contract

Im surprised no other team has surfaced for Lloyd, maybe they are still playing finals

And yet, in the same breath, some are claiming that Hanners is overpaid at $800k pa, even based on his 2016 and earlier form.

And nor will any believe the "premiership window is closed". Despite a desperately poor performance last weekend, and a failure to ever really get into gear during the season, the club was still less than two goals away from finishing in the top 4 (in a game missing Buddy and Parker), and beat more top 8 sides during the H&A than any other club. It wasn't a great season by any means, but nor was it disastrous. If those results had been achieved with a side mostly filled with mature plodders, maybe things would look different, but it wasn't. The Swans have blooded more new players over the last few seasons than most other clubs (including some languishing near the bottom) and a good handful of those look to have bright futures.

Even if one takes a gloomier view on what was achieved in 2018, you only have to look to the Tigers and Dogs to see how a couple of tweaks can change things around rapidly.

If there is player unrest it could be for many reasons, including (1) the fact that other players (Hanners in particular) are being forced out of the club. If this is true. But also (2) players may not be happy with the coaching / gameplan. Players may no longer believe they are a genuine chance at a premiership with the current coaching setup.

If that's the case and Horse has lost the players then the club really is in "ferment".

BTW I don't think most players are driven by $. I think they want to have the chance to win a premiership. If the belief is gone it would explain Parker's alleged coffee. I really hope this is NOT the case.

Horse has to k ow his gameplan needs a tweak
His arguement would be that he lost his Ruck Reid Tippett and one of his best mids in Hannas playing ordinary as well as Mills being out

He needs to change, cant wait for a healthy list to change your ways it will never happen

There are posts on BF saying Parker was seen at StKilda earlier in the week too. It's either b@##@&it or he's shopping himself around. He is contracted so at least we'll get something decent for him.

If you trawl far enough on BF you can probably find evidence of every big name meeting with every club almost. its a hotbed of generally unabashed made up dribble rofl

He can shop himself around as much as he wants (though I doubt he actually is doing that!) - at the end of the day we hold all the cards in that space if he does suddenly decide he wants to leave.
