One explanation is Bucks doesn’t want to risk him given he’s failed to finish three games this year.

The benefit we'll get is the freeing up of salary cap space, anyone expecting anything significant from the trade is going to be disappointedComment

I don’t think any first round picks will be coming our way for Hanners, but happy to be proved wrong.
Also looks like my hunch about Gaff was wrong too:
North Melbourne set to secure Gold Coast mid
“[Sam] McClure also provided an update on the contractual situation involving West Coast’s Andrew Gaff, confirming that the Roos have a substantial offer on the table for the native Victorian.”
“Andrew Gaff will only be playing for one of two sides next year: it will be West Coast – who have offered him a six-year deal, or it will be North Melbourne – who have offered him a seven-year deal,” he added.”Comment

Agree we don't to replace list clogger's with more of the same or just top up's. If there are delistings who are young and were originally recruited for their potential, then I think they are worth a look. We need some more mature bodies with speed and skills to help our young bodies like Florent to mature with confidence. Let Towers, Marsh, Robinson, Foote go to Gold Coast for low picksComment

I think it will be Hanners for Saints 2019 second which will be low 20s you'd think. It's the salary cap relief we obviously need but we're jettisoning some depth to get it.Comment

With this years draft a "rookie" will be part of the full list, meaning they can be picked to play during the season without having to be elevated. Inspired rookie drafting will be required. Some clubs have jettisoned quite a few players and I am sure they have this in mind.Comment

The only player of note that we seem to be linked with at present is Moore. So it looks like we are going to the draft unless something enticing emerges out of the trade period. It looks like being an interesting trade period with other Clubs though. Some big names on the move just not to us.

What has changed is clubs are now willing to say, "ok if you want to go so be it". The consensus seems be, get something for someone while you can.
It seems like the flood gates have opened, but it may only be for one year as clubs consolidate their lists.Comment

I think we should trade next year first and second pick for this year.
Blakey looks like he will take up our first and second on points.
This is a strong draft, and Liam Stoker, the Morrish medal winner looks really good pick in the early twenty, late tweens.
Would like a chance to get Hatley from the SA, likely pick around ten, but not really realistic.
Our two second round picks, after Collingwood made the GF, is not really worth a lot.
If Moore wants to come to us as well, then i don't see how we are going to do it all.
Hannas for our first round next year and their first round this year???
It time we started to think outside the box and trade aggressively.
Our team is not a world beater, buddy getting older, we need to capitalise on him in the next few seasons!
And we need clean our Rose, Towers, Foote, etc; better to grab some rookie and take a chance than to hope any of these will make it big time!doof-doofComment

I heard a rumour that Hanners has changed his mind and wants to stay.Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.
Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones who let in the light.Comment
