According to the HS, Brayden Sier is on the verge of signing a contract extension to remain at Collingwood. Thought Sier may've been a target for us.

AFL website saying he's been a naughty boy playing basketball under a false name whilst out with a calf injury! Pass
So we now have four retirements (plus Tippett from the rookie list) and Cameron sought after, Rose you would think delisted, Fox 50/50. Big off season for us nowComment

Collingwood supporters have always stated that he has the ability but lacked the commitment. Sounds like we'd be better off without him.AFL website saying he's been a naughty boy playing basketball under a false name whilst out with a calf injury! Pass

Surely this foxsport journos must've been drunk when they made this statement in the attached trade whispers article!!!!
"However the Eagles do hold two first-round picks: Their natural one and the one attached to Sydney, which will finish lower than Fremantle on the ladder."

The lack of knowledge of the draft system, points, F/S, Academies etc shown by a number of journo's and prominent former players is staggering. Some of the completely erroneous conclusions drawn by these people is cringeworthy.
Good luck to West Coast dealing our first to Geelong.Comment

Collingwood must be furious with Sier playing basketball whilst his calf is injured. Hopefully he is ashamed that he wants to move interstate.Comment

GC Suns looking for some experience. Assuming the AFL comes to the party, GC likely to hold picks 1 and 2. What are everyone's thoughts on:
a) likelihood of them giving up 2 for Lloyd, keeping in mind they have expressed interest in Jake last year
b) would he be worth trading for pick 2?
I wouldn't contemplate anything less from them and don't want any of their players that they would put up for trade (no way they would give up Rankine, Lukosius, King).Comment

Very interesting idea RD. I was thinking the chances of the Suns giving up pick 1 or 2 are Buckley's. The whole point of getting them both picks 1 & 2 is not just to get two guns but so that they could keep Rowell and Anderson together and hopefully overwhelm the go home pull. However, a player like Lloyd, really A-grade, bit more seasoned and experienced player is just what they need and they would have to seriously consider it. Very tricky for us too because Lloyd is also just what we need. We are very thin on the ground for experienced players, especially those in their mid-20s although with the mass retirements of our veterans we are now getting thin on the ground at that end too. Still, Rowell for Lloyd (if we could wangle that) is very, very tempting and we have more depth and strength in defence (hopefully even after the mass retirements) than we currently do in the midfield. I think I would do it, even if it sets back our pushing for finals another year or so.GC Suns looking for some experience. Assuming the AFL comes to the party, GC likely to hold picks 1 and 2. I would do it but hard to see GC going for that. Maybe Lloyd and Jones for pick 2 and a 2nd/3rd rounderGC Suns looking for some experience. Assuming the AFL comes to the party, GC likely to hold picks 1 and 2. What are everyone's thoughts on:
