McLean (5) has kicked more goals than Reid (4) in 3 fewer games (6 and 9 respectively). Reid moves better, but McLean looks more likely to mark and goal. Neither of them are great. The issue with Reid is he’s a senior player we really needed this year and he failed to produce.Comment

For all those eying off talent at the Orange upstarts, a bit of talk about how (1) there might be a mini exodus and (2) they might have way too many inside mids and need to shed some.Comment

Which has been a problem as the mids have looked for him far too often this season and other teams can easily defend that kick."Fortunately, this is the internet, so knowing nothing is no obstacle to having an opinion!." Beerman 18-07-2017Comment

I think you’re right - that means 1 more year. Reid has played 9 games this year; he’s kicked a goal in just 3! This will sound harsh, but I think Reid may be the worst performing player for his position still in the team - the reason being there is zero competition for that role.
" recruitment's that we surely need now to fill the gaps.Comment

Its official, Sam Reid is the new RWO whipping boy. Not undeserved on current form. I think he's horribly down on confidence and pretty much the only genuinely tall forward so getting a lot of attention. In the wet.
I don't think he's worth much in a trade. Prepared to give him the benefit of the doubt and see how he goes with Buddy, Daniher and Heeney alongside him next year!
199 cm, 94 kg, former No 2 draft pick, out of favor at the Dogs, would cost us nothing.
He has speed but I have always though that Dogs were the wrong team for him.
If Tom is going down back, and Reid is getting desisted, a second ready made tall is what we need.
He is fit and has strength!doof-doofComment

I would like us to go after Josh Schache.

Good cheap potential solution!Comment

I don't think we need to break the bank on a tall forward. Just someone who competes in the air, on the ground and is capable of creating opportunities for the smalls and mids pushing forward. Would LRT consider a comeback?

I'll be happy with a forward line of a fit Buddy and Daniher next year with Logan McDonald learning his craft as our first draft pick. Dreaming?Comment
