Whoa!! Or, Woe!! That is terrible news. I hope it's not true. Very sad to hear it if it is true. While it's basically Gary and Amy's (?) business I think it's kind of cool that Gazza's team mates may have held him to account. Better than them colluding.

Gotta say I re-watched the Hollands’ video and actually concentrated this time...having been frothing for Thilthorpe I now think that we should punt in Hollands as he could be a generational player a la Dangerfield and Martin...not saying he WILL be but he could be. Generational players like Goodes and Buddy aren’t just very, very good....they are unique and unpredictable. That’s what Hollands is. Phillips looks sublime but upon reflection he is, perhaps, the most exquisite form of Vanilla ice cream you could wish for. I think we should risk a Strawberry Sorbet

Not sure this is the correct thread for naughty Gary. Find it hard to believe! Maybe that explains his and Hanners sudden exits?

“Low possession player” takes on a whole new meaning.

That noun works with or without the s in it :-)

Testosterone has always caused trouble in the world, most wars are because of it, most relationship breakdowns are because of it, current US President saying stupid things because of it, China trade problems because of it ........

Anyway, back to list management, reckon most pick swaps will be done much closer to the draft or reactively on draft night, almost certainly we've got a few plans in place if/when needed

Back on topic, Campbell tested well over 20m as did Phillips. Nicholas Cox ran a 6min 2km, great endurance for a big guy. I'm actually starting to think that if we don't get McDonald or Thilthorpe, Cox might be our guy. We've got plenty of midfielders but could definitely do with a bigger player. But I recognise it would be a tough decision to over look Hollands or Phillips. DGB is not what we need atm, pass on him.

I really liked your idea about Nicholas Cox and have been trying to think of a way we could pull it off without using pick 3 directly, as it seems to be overs for where he's rated, which is more mid to late teens and even into the early 20s. We're talking 1000 points over. Not a piddling amount. It's very complicated, because the pick would have to come between Campbell and Gulden, and Campbell will draw down most of our points on hand.

The only trade I can see that could get us into the right slot is to trade pick 3 to Geelong for picks 13 and 15. Geelong might be interested if the Giants would prefer pick 3 for Cameron in lieu of 13 and 15, which is all conjecture. The Geelong picks could drop as many as 4 places, depending on where the NGA and Academy players get bids. Campbell would have to hold out getting a bid until at least pick 10 to make this viable, and even then, it's a 50-50 chance at best that everything will fall into place.

It's great that we're getting 2 top academy players this year, but it does limit what we can do in the draft after the Campbell bid comes.

You can't be a Dodo to pull off that kind of deal.

Could we have Cox and Blakey in the same team? Very similar looking shapes and styles about them. He looks like the kind of player you're perpetually waiting to arrive, with build being the biggest blocker.
I feel with so much uncertainty about our current young crop, we almost need to take the surest thing in this draft. Campbell and Gulden are a good start. But at #3, I'd be keeping simple and taking best available.

It's unfortunately true....his wife Ami apparently tweeted something that pretty much confirmed it.

We should have a couple of million to waste on another Tippett who doesn’t perform!
Not a great comment. Tippett actually performed very well when on the park. Beatson wasn't to know how injury prone he'd become.
