    Agree.

I think the problem is your source - I wouldn't trust a word The Guardian says.

Yes good chance atm a return as FIFO games with the exception being the WA clubs as their border restrictions have not been flagged to be lifted. They could fly out for their first game but with the way their states restrictions are atm they’d have to quarantine for 14 days upon returning. Talk they may be based in Melbourne for a few weeks until things change. Play all away games then home games end of season.

Yes, if infections continue to reduce to virtually zero, I would prefer home and away. But, of course, a few outbreaks could change that.

It’s not a blanket thing for every person it’s an exemption for AFL/NRL players as this is their employment.

Depending how out of hand an outbreak gets clubs will still be allowed to FIFO regardless of the Active count. Except WA atm. And it depends if they get this outbreak under control in Victoria. If they do it shouldn’t be an issue going forward as it means they have stabilised the virus in that state because apart from this outbreak this week they’ve pretty much not had any other new cases.

They’ll get a backlash from people complaining that footy players can fly around the country and they can’t. If they don’t get this outbreak under control forget FIFO from Victoria or any other state that gets an outbreak like they have.

Still a fair bit to play out before the season starts imo but that’s pretty much where it’s at.

Have a look at Richmonds first half of the year. Hardly left the Melbourne CBD.

Only left the Melbourne CBD 3 times. This is what Travis Boak was alluding to.
There you go. I had no idea rounds 1 to 3 in the regular season were as important as a Qualifying Final, a Prelim and a GF.
I'll have to try harder to get my head around this "evens out" thing in the draw. I promise I'll never say anything narky about
Richmond and their free ride again.

The AFL grounds that should be "seriously looked at" to host games WITH crowds in 2020

But like in the old days with crickets LBW’s. Dodgy one for the opener evens out when the tailender for the other side gets one.

                    You know swings n roundabouts.

                    All fair of course.

Just like clock work. They’ll say anything to hold onto the status quo

AFL, AFL 2020, Eddie McGuire Victorian bias claims, AFL Victorian bias, AFL coronavirus | Fox Sports

“What happens is people come in they don’t understand the history, they don’t know the contracts, it’s blissful naivety and they say stupid things,” Eddie told SEN’s Dwayne’s World

The history is it’s regularly been a bias competition towards Victorian clubs. With the proof in the lopsided draw, GF at the MCG & other things like third party deals etc

The contract is that without consultation with the non Victorian clubs and the non Victorian governments or sports ministers the AFL signed a half a century contract to play the grand final at a select few clubs home ground.

The naive side of this is most non Victorian club supports are not naive enough to believe the effluent that spills from people like McGuires mouth.

The stupid wording is to denigrate non Victorian club supporters and now players that know how bias this competition can be at times.

In summing up just like I’ve said before they’ll lie and say anything to hold onto the status quo which is the advantages they.

History and tradition for VFL sides is deemed an unfair advantage to "interstate" sides as the Vics like to call them.

Maguire is the biggest VFL apologist there is and unfortunately has multiple media outlets to peddle his tripe.

It’s laughable that this one eyed biased clown gets on so many committees along with Kennett.

Club presidents using the AFL committees to game the system to advantage their club. And the AFL act like it’s nothing unusual. Very very poor.
