Perhaps Dawson's girlfriend is sick of the anonymity of Sydney and wants to boost her insta profile by being an Adelaide wag?

I read in the Advertiser that Stephens is now likely to stay.

"Essendon also spoke to midfielder Dylan Stephens but he is now expected to re-sign with Sydney, with Jordan Dawson and George Hewett likely to free up salary cap space for Stephens by leaving the Swans."

Jeez, you'd hope Stephens wouldnt be demanding the salary cap left by Hewett and Dawson lol

It does imply his decision is based more on $$$ than opportunity. Which would be fair enough if his form warranted it, but he's asking to be paid on potential rather than performance.

I am puzzled by how the Swans and other clubs view Paddy McCartin.
My understanding is that any club could have taken him in the pre season and mid season drafts but none did even though a couple had 2 picks.

Is it because of his concussion issues or his suspension? Are they worried about legal consequences down the track?

I am not convinced that the Swans will rookie list him, certainly not prior to the PSD, despite our obvious need for a key defender.

I’m betting that the Swans will rookie list him and he’ll play Rd 1.

Interesting Twitter thread with Dylan’s dad making comments.

Damien E on Twitter: "Heard a little bit of information that a certain Dylan Stephens put pen to paper today! Hopefully swans confirm soon #bloods"

From the Swans via email - “The Sydney Swans have secured four key signatures, with forward Hayden McLean, midfielder Dylan Stephens and defenders Robbie Fox and Will Gould agreeing to terms on new deals with the club.”

Brand, Gray, Ling and Carruthers not offered contracts.

Great news, if true, about Stephens. There is certainly a spot there now for him in our team with the likely departures. He just needs to have a good pre-seasin, strengthen up and grab a spot with both hands!

Great news!! Especially regarding McLean and Stephens. Will Gould was on the top of my list for a delisting. So bit suprised/unhappy there. Hope he can prove me wrong!

All good news. I feared for Gould's future so he has another season to break into our team.

That's very positive news. I'm really hoping the two "SA" boys have huge preseasons and become regular fixtures next year.

Finally, some good news again! Happy to see Will given an uninterrupted run in a proper full season of competition and training. In two years we will know for sure about Dyl. McLean is a good forward/ruck and no one gives more effort, playing above his weight and height than Robbie Fox.

There were 4 delistings in there too:

Meanwhile, the club has advised Kaiden Brand, Sam Gray, Matthew Ling and Malachy Carruthers that they will not be offered contracts with the club for 2022.
