I actually think its become a lot more ruthless than it used to be. Could just be my perception

Gardiner speaks: “Throughout the trade period we worked extremely hard to reach a fair outcome in regard to Jordan, despite challenging circumstances. Ultimately, we have settled on a deal that we don’t think quite reflects Jordan’s true value but is one that, after extensive negotiations, we don’t believe we could improve upon. After strong consideration, we believed it to be in the best interests of the club to accept the deal available and move forward."
Swans finalise trade deal for Jordan DawsonComment

I thought it was a way of still sticking in the little knife into Sydney by Roo.........bit sneaky
I havent seen any of our board, coaching dept open up in the same way Roo positions Adelaide in the Media or talks against others
anyway.......re Ladhams.........I more so think about does his role in the team make more a difference than Dawso's role?
Does an emerging Ruck FF make more of a difference vs a Winger or HBF............yes they tend to !
would he make a bigger difference to our team than Dawson in a final series?
If Hickey was not able to play in a final series and Ladhams could stand in and played well would ensure we have a better chance of being competitive vs a strong Winger or a HBF

Interesting no one has come after Reid. He could fill a role at the Lions or GWS. I suspect the jury has decided he's too injury prone.Comment

Port have basically pushed this guy out the door, they can't then expect for us to get the double entry from the Adeliade clubs this trade week.
We decide if we play ball here. I'd be prefectly happy to roll the dice without Ladhams and bank the $400,000 cap space but I get why he may be a good pick up AT THE RIGHT PRICE.
Surely this is Pick 39 take it or leave it!Comment

I cannot believe that will be allowed to happen and if it does this place will melt down.

."The final offer Sydney accepted was “significantly better” than what the Crows initially offered early last week.
“In terms of the negotiations, what I can say is the deal that was tabled on Tuesday last week involving pick 17 was not as good a deal as we accepted last night,” Gardiner said.
“It involved a slide of picks in this year’s draft together with future selections given up in next year’s draft that would have compromised not only this year, but next year."Comment

However, I think a deal will go through and for a little more than pick 31. Its such a good opportunity to solve the ruck situation for the next decade. Who knows what will happen next year.Comment

We'll get him and he'll be good. Hopefully he'll make a lot of RWO posters eat their words with some big performances in the coming years as another Swans trade success story!
