All opinions are not equal. Some are a very great deal more robust, sophisticated, and well supported in logic and argument than others. -Douglas Adams, author (11 Mar 1952-2001) -
Edit: just read the other replies. Think we can rate Heeney as a pick 2, the following year with points he would be thatComment

Someone else would have likely bid on him later so we would have coughed up pick 17 anyway, but I wonder if he would have gone “later” and this been worth less points in a matching bid in the new system.
The fact that he was a “number 2” was a main reason for the AFL adopting the points system as some clubs felt we got him way too cheaply.Comment

Heeney showed he was a gem in the juniors just like Mills in my humble opinion."be tough, only when it gets tough"

Tanner Bruhn
Ollie Henry
Jack Bowes
Plus Pick 7
Vs GF opposition the Swans
Aaron Francis
I'm still trying to make sense of how we have increased our probability of success vs the strategy that the Cats have take to flex their 2023?
Has anyone else felt we slipped at the trade table in advancing our window 2023/24?
Does anyone else sense mathematically at the very least that Bruhn, Henry and Bowes will play 12 plus games each in 2023 and add significantly to the Cats endeavours to stand on heads again along with the Demons, Pies etc ?
That the Cats pick 7 may even play some games in 2023 and or push madly the top 26 or so?
I'm nervous we took a u turn ?"be tough, only when it gets tough"

It’s comparing apples and oranges list wise. If anything we are too young and they are too old.
The big problem was how cheaply they picked up 4 first round draft picks.

Allegedly its us and some club called GWS that are into Cowan

I've always subscribed to the theory in life u can walk and chew gum
Ie the Cats can trade we can trade
Ie the Cats can secure their up and coming talent and we can secure our up an coming talent
If we did in trades what Geelong succeeded to do would any one complain?
If they did would they be right?
And for how long?"be tough, only when it gets tough"

They were terribly homesick so weren't playing their best because of that dreadful affliction. Back home with Mum and her cooking they'll be up and about for the Cats!Comment

Not convinced this draft is very strong especially for talls. Ashcroft seems light years ahead of the rest and there seems to be quite a few injuries. Take best available who does not look like they will get homesick and cross fingers. Still think it is better value to go for a 25yo for a ruck than an untried 18yo who will likely take five years before they are ready.Comment
