Out in straight sets. Not sure why Sheldrick did not play. If the Swans need some top up players just go to my local park and you will find some with better basic skills.

Collis is such a terrible kick. I don't know how he gets selected.

How many concussions has McAndrew had this year? And he hardly plays in the ruck when he does play. I would look elsewhere for a development ruckman.

GC had a really good squad today. Missed Sheldrick badly. But a lot of the listed players did well.

Didn't see the game but seems like a very disappointing loss at home and to go out in straight sets. Not 100% sold on Laidler as a coach. Our game style isn't that great in our VFL side. Far too much bombing it and hoping for the best in the games I've seen.

Looking at the stat's the GC had the top 4 clear best players as far as ranking scores go and they are all midfielders so that's a real area we need some depth in. Sheldrick not playing obviously didn't help.

Our AFLW is due to host Giants at the SCG.

Collis is Tom Papley's close mate. We signed him to our NEAFL/VFL side the season after Papley nearly defected.

Callum Sinclair was looking very emotional at the end. Camera then went elsewhere - did players line up to clap him off?

Shame we couldn't keep the momentum in the last, in what was probably Sinclair's last game for the club (Well, that's really hoping that Hickey doesn't pick up an injury). But I think he got a goal with his final kick, so I suppose that’s something.

Gould was a beast today and probably our best. Campbell had plenty of decisive involvements. Roberts got plenty of the ball, but I was disappointed with some of his chasing, so he probably needs to work on his pace in the off-season. Ronke and McLean were both dangerous up forward, and I hope they remain on the list.

                Blacktown International Sports Park. Why?

Surely we can do better than this when earning a home ground advantage? How does an oval look so dry and dead all over except the muddy swamp in the centre of the ground? The only atmosphere provided was from the Swans AFL attendees sitting in the stands. North Sydney Oval or even Drummoyne would be 100% better.

Yes both teams lined up and he was chaired off by McLean and Amartey.

I also noticed that about Roberts. Some of his chasing was ordinary.

I am hopeful that when Henson Park is upgraded for the AFLW team to be based out of there, that it can become our default other venue outside of SCG/Tramway Oval for Reserves games as well.

                        Blacktown's surface today looked awful.

What I also thought was a bit ordinary, was the extra couple of kilos that seem to have appeared around Taylor's waistline, since he last played. Though I suppose I shouldn't be too harsh, as it's probably his last game for the club.

Yes, personally I've never liked us playing games at Blacktown. The only time that there's something vaguely resembling an atmosphere, is when we play a reserves game against GWS.

100% agree. The ground was a disgrace. Why we had to play way out there in GWS territory is beyond me. What's wrong with having the match at the SCG anyway?

'Blacktown International Sports Park'? The only thing 'international' about it was perhaps it's resemblance to a cow paddock in Rwanda or a swamp in outer Mongolia.

It was a well contested match...Gould the standout...Campbell also quite good and Ronke except for that one extra yard where he ran too far.
Amartey didn't hold those marks today. Dropped a lot.
                                Callum played heartily .

Hold Coast had some good talls...one stood out..I think he was number 19.

A feww errant Quicks cost us the match really.

It' was a physically intense match.

                                Gould our best by miles.

I also gleaned a little gossip about a Gold Coast player who's had talks with the Swans. Another South Australian draftee a pick in the 2018 draft..straight from the mouth of family members in the crowd
