For as long as I've been watching the reserves since the AFL Canberra days, if a player wasn't a key position player, they would spend a good amount of time in the midfield at Reserves level even when they rarely, or in some cases never, would get a look-in in the midfield at senior level. Brandon Jack, Nick Malceski, Nick Smith, Andrejs Everitt, James Rose, Patrick Veszpremi, Dean Towers, Gary Rohan, Nathan Gordon, etc. etc.
So yes I would assume Campbell will get a run in the mids tomorrow.Comment

I agree with your observation, however for some of them the midfield in the neafl was a graveyard. I recall Dan Robinson and James Rose always killing it in the neafl midfield but then struggling big time to play a pressure forward role in the seniors. Unless a player is badly out of form and just needs touches, he should play in the position he expects to play in the seniors and work to show he is ready. Whilst the media might put 30 touches in the midfield up in lights, history shows it doesn't seem to impress the coaches that much. For as long as I've been watching the reserves since the AFL Canberra days, if a player wasn't a key position player, they would spend a good amount of time in the midfield at Reserves level even when they rarely, or in some cases never, would get a look-in in the midfield at senior level. I'm interested in how Robbie plays today. We could use some more aerial presence down backComment

He is out there. I'm currently right next to Corey and Roberts. Both look very fit! Good skin folds. We are killing them early. Funny to see us dominating the midfield after watching last night. 4 goals to zip so far.Comment
