That works. Just need to scroll down the list to find it. A good interview. Nothing overly earth shattering but good to hear from KB.Link to SEN Sportsday Podcast page where you'll find link to 11 minute interview with KB after we'd just secured Grundy & Adams (11th Oct). Interestingly he noted Sam Reid is still a work in progress so it appears he may or may not go around again.
Was no denying the targeting and contract length of Naughton.Comment

SportsdayI knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his timeComment

Relieved link works & people able to find interview without too much trouble.
I listened to it live to air & the interviewers were kicking themselves afterwards for not asking KB whether Melb will also be footing Grundy's salary, considering we had upped our initial trade offer of pick 46 to also include future 2nd. A Swans caller had poised this question to them.Comment

I don’t think so barry. We’ve made the finals most years so our draft picks were seldom early. Yes, we stuffed up with Stephens but overall drafts are hit and miss- just look at some late picks that work out well, like Chad. Our teams since the flag had missing pieces so we were not able to win one. Of course the aim is to win the premiership but our lads have given us plenty of pleasure the last few years. We were a bit too young last year and reached the GF above all expectations and there was no way we could match Geelong’s experience and physical superiority.
Different next year- we have a more mature team and with luck re injuries we now have enough talent to win the flag. In any event, I’m sure we’ll play some great games and improve all round- top 4 is the aim!Comment

You realy have to admire KB. Considered, measured. Loved his comment about getting deals done decisively rather than slowing things down with interminable haggling, so it looks like you "won" the trade.
I also agree with his assertion that our supporter base is no longer dependent on the glamour full forward.
On the other hand - Adam isn't a journalist's wet fart.Comment

I wouldn't. We have a very good idea of what we have with Logan and it's impressive. To let him go now for the chance at another (possibly over-rated) draftee doesn't make sense to me.Comment

Given we have only had 4 top 10 picks in the past 20 years due to the continued success of the team, I wouldn’t call McDonald, Campbell, Mills, and Jetta failures, and all were top ten picks.
We are a successful club because we have stable leadership right from top to bottom.Comment
