Agree with you Barry, and they would be foolish not to do it

That would go against the grain if that happened
13 year player toggling the system to stay a one club man after serious injury years and heart and soul at the Bloods
I just could not imagine any club doing that
But………it is possible
Not impossible"be tough, only when it gets tough"

BTW BRS
I’m not a big drinker and also rarely play poker or the like……..but a few good friends round the corner from my house said let’s play poker last night
It was so much fun
Guess who killed it……….accidentally
The euphoria went to my head
I swear they spiked my drinks
I have a splitting headache and it is now midday………rrrrrggggggghhhhhh
And although I won at some point in the evening……..I did t have anything in my pockets that was remarkable this morning ?????????????????

When I looked at my Spotify recently played this morning he was in there

I was in a weird movie last night……no doubt

I deny nothing ????????????????

does the Rookie draft following the same arrangements as the main draft - ie lowest finisher has first pick?
If so, Swans would presumably have a selection before GWS.Comment

I've just been into the locked "List Management" room at my house. The BIG whiteboard there shows all our players post the delistings and trading period.
I note we have three main list vacancies, two of those in red texta say pick 12 and Cleary.
Scanning the whiteboard some more I note we have - post pick 12 and Cleary, one vacancy on the main list, one on the rookie Cat A list and one on the rookie Cat B list. The name Sam Reid with a question mark is on one side of the whiteboard.
If by some amazing luck (unlikely) no other team bids on Cleary before our elevated second pick comes up for selection, taking another draftee there means we either use our only Cat A rookie position on Sam Reid or let Sam go.
Do other posters whiteboards look like mine?
Delisted; Rankin, Sheather, Gould, Hall-Kahan, Owen, Clarke, 6
Stephens leaves 1
Total; 10
That means we have 9 but Sam comes back, so does Konstanty & we bring in Grundy, Jordan, Hamling & Adams 5
Two spots were made after two players were placed on the long term injury list. That should leave 3.
One is a Rookie spot.
We have 36 from last year, including Sam & Jacob. We can have a min of 36 & max 38 on the Primary list.
Including Rookies, up to 44. I thought it was 42 but the new AFL article says 44. So, we have a few Rookie places to fill.
Last year's players 36
Trade 4
Draft 2
Rookie 2
Equals 44Comment

Thanks Wolfy
There are a few on the 36 that could move back as a rookie
There a couple players on our list also that have not been announced as signed on as yet …….like Wicks.
So we could possibly take 3 in the draft especially if someone we have identified is ahead of Cleary.
Will be fascinating as always, no doubt."be tough, only when it gets tough"

FWIW - The Hun's mock draft has us taking Will Green with our first pick.
Seems highly unlikely to me as he's a 204cm ruckman - when we have Grundy, Ladhams, McAndrew and potentially May coming on board as a rookie academy pick.
Plus, from what I've seen of him, he's good at the ruck work itself and a good athlete, but yet to do a lot elsewhere and not shown any real forward craft.

So, that leaves 3-5 list spots & up to 5 Rookie spots
I believe we are going to draft an International Rookie. I have no proof but read somewhere we were interested in a young Irish Gaelic footy star. But I have not been able to find the article sinceComment
