Hmmmmmm. Very interesting prospect. Certainly logical and I'd warmly welcome it.

Naismiths name isn’t on the list of players who have nominated ????

Is our rehab facility big enough to handle a 5th ruckman on our list, especially a regular client like Naismith. One positive would be that Naismith already has The Rehab Ruckman Tattoo Parlour up and running at the Swans training and tattooing facility, and our ruckmen are queuing up for more ink. Sam can provide leadership in this area.

We still have Owen to throw in the ruck. Let's face it. Signing up as a ruckman is like volunteering for World War I.

That's been our fate. A Swans' ruckmen are just injury list padding.. Let's find another solution.

How concerned is everyone with our 2022 draft haul so far? I'm aware it's still very early, but they have pretty much shown nothing in the way of promise to be selected in a side that has been decimated with injuries.

My main concern is that our actual national draft picks are the ones that have been the poorest! A couple of our rookie picks have shown small signs, which is promising.

At this rate, though, it is looking like a dismal failure by KB and Dalrymple that could cost us dearly in the future.

Here's hoping they show some signs of life in the next few weeks!

Truthfully annoyed because with the year we are having it would be great to have a couple of first year players as shining lights to get excited about. But realistically it is far, far too early. You could give so many examples but one I think back on is that Tom Hawkins was considered a dud for quite a while. So we can’t assess the 2022 draft properly yet (other than to saying hasn’t done much for us yet!).

Re mid season draft, we could use Naismith or even Alex Johnson even for a few games this year.

                  Noah Casalini

                  North Adelaide, SANFL

                  FWD, 21, 192cm, 86kg

A former Sydney Academy member, Casalini crossed to South Australia in 2023 following four games for GWS in the VFL last season. The athletic forward has starred for North Adelaide, booting six goals against Norwood earlier this year. Casalini has a powerful left foot, and will provide teams with a marking option up forward.

                    Oscar McDonald

                    Williamstown, VFL

                    KEY DEF, 27, 196cm, 100kg

With 86 AFL games under his belt, the former Melbourne and Carlton defender is a readymade option AFL clubs. With uncertainty over Paddy McCartin (concussion) and injuries to Logan McDonald (eight weeks) and Sam Reid (season), Sydney are seen as the side with the most need for McDonald who could potentially play at both ends of the ground alongside new recruit Aaron Francis, while Essendon could be another suitor with a need for a key defender. McDonald will be hoping to follow in the footsteps of fellow defenders Kallan Dawson (North Melbourne), Charlie Dean (Collingwood) and Nick Murray (Adelaide), who have all been successful in receiving an AFL contract following a stint at Williamstown.

No offence to Oscar, but let’s build for the future and take someone with potential. The season’s gone guys so we’re looking at 2024 and beyond. A young tall please.

In: Hickey (should have recovered from delayed concussion hopefully)

Be good to have another look at TDK as he should be back this week as well.

Other than that, if is not a convincing win by us, I don't know if it will be bearable to watch and have a whole weekend of us posting about poor game plans, them waltzing out of the centre bounces, lack of fitness, goal keeping woes etc.
I don’t think he’s a KPP Mal, and if we’re spending that sort of money then we need someone like HH!
