So who do we want RWOers? I am hoping for a couple of key position players or at least one and a big bodied mid if there are any ready to go.
I have come around to the McDonald pick if we decide to go down that path. He is still only 27 and has had a few injuries throughout his career. He is a good size and would likely be a walk up start in our backline at the moment and with some luck, could possibly hold down a position there for another 5 years or so as he has the tools to play as an AFL backman.
Just watched a little highlights video of a W.A. kid named Jack Buller who is 22 and listed at 199cm and 99kg so is a big lump of a lad! He looks to be a forward and can move well so I'd probably prefer him first if we can get a chance and maybe some of our W.A. boys may know him and help him settle in? Not sure if he'll last till our pick though.

Yes, I'll also go with a couple of key position types. Would also settle for one and an inside mid. Would be thoroughly perplexed if we added another couple of lightly framed outside runners.Comment

We have picks 6 and 15. 15 is the last pick.
I'm guessing we will pick up a KPD (likely McDonald) with the first pick. The second pick is harder."Unbelievable!" -- Nick Davis leaves his mark on the 2005 semi finalComment

My ideal outcome would be a key forward and a key defender. Ideally the forward first, as there look to be a couple knocking around in the WAFL who would at least straighten up our VFL team even if they didn't get up to pace for senior footy. And that has to be a good thing for the development of the rest of the players plying their trade in the VFL right now. There's also an ex-academy player (Noah Cassalini) doing quite well in the SANFL, though I think he's more of a "third tall" at AFL level.
If the club is set on McDonald, I hope they take the chance that he's still around at the last pick, and have someone else up their sleeve just in case he isn't. There is an ex-Suns academy tall defender currently playing with the Lions' VFL team who has also been linked to us. So he might be a back stop if McDonald isn't there.
My guess is that we will pick two defenders but I'll be a tad disappointed. I really think we need a forward.Comment

Harry Arnold and Jack Buller. Two talls."Unbelievable!" -- Nick Davis leaves his mark on the 2005 semi finalComment

Gotta be happy with those picks. I'm getting the impression that Jack Buller might be a mate of Chad's?Comment

We picked 1. Harry Arnold a 194 tall defender from Lions VFL who came from the Suns Academy. He is also a relief PE teacher. Mr Fox can be his mentor.
2. Jack Buller, a 199 cm WAFL forward.
