"There are rumours [McDonald] may look for a new home next year" - are there? I haven't read them.

"two enigmatic forwards in Tom Paplay and Will Hayward" - not sure I'd describe Papley as enigmatic, nor would I spell it with 2 As.

Not sure this is their finest work.

As MarkWebbos says, just badly worded.

Everyone in the AFL and media knows what is going on. They just have the decency and respect to let it play out and ensure one of the greatest players we've seen gets to say it in his own words and on his own time. As it should be.

        Tom Barrass (West Coast Eagles)

“Tom Barrass, close to a formality to Sydney, I’m hearing,” Edmund began on SEN’s Whateley.

“That will be happening. Signed a five-year deal at the Eagles in 2021 so he’ll need to be traded and that’s the whole point, isn’t it?

“He has currency as the Eagles look to rebuild. Sydney, well they have to give something decent.

“A 27-year-old best and fairest winner and a premiership defender. They have been into him for a while, Sydney. There is a link there and this is not new interest from club to player, but this year it sounds like it’s absolutely happening.”

Looks like the question might have been asked:

While Franklin's form is lifting at the back end of the year, his coach refused to entertain any discussion of that leading to him going around again in 2024.

"We'll just see how he goes this week," Longmire joked.

"He's very much session by session and see how he feels. If you asked him a month ago, he was pretty sore. He's very much looking to feel good session to session and going into games feeling well.

"That's all that matters at the moment for him."

Buddy Hell, according to this Buddy is considering going round again!

            Fox Sports quoting Mark Robbo:

“Buddy Franklin I think’s open to playing on next year. That’s not saying he’s playing on - he might be open to playing on next year, and Sydney will have a big, large play in that decision. I think the last three weeks has given Buddy a bit of thinking time.”

Not ruling it out is perhaps a little different to considering it

HH isn't mentioned at all by Edmunds? To me he's by far the pick out of Barrass, Ratugolea and McKay of what's on offer.
He's also the only free agent, so no need to trade.

I haven't seen it, but I read that Himmelberg made some comments in an interview last week that indicate he's likely to stay at the Giants.

Yeah i suggest HH is off the table

Barrass and 19 for our 1st Round would be good.

Then we could trade 2x 2nd Rounders with Gold Coast for their 1st Pick

So did Jordan Dawson in a roundabout way.

True, re reference to Jordan Dawson but I don't expect Himmelberg will have been told that we see him as the future leader of our club.

We need a dedicated defender (barass) rather than a swingman (HH).

If barass is almost guaranteed, then it means that paddy McCartin must be retiring.

I think you're on the money there Bazza. I can't see that Paddy comes back.

No way Paddy comes back... His last "knock" was nothing.

Dawson stuff is still too raw...
