Not doubting that. But I always feel nervous when you walk into the room with just one bullet in the gun. At least if we try to fight both charges we increase our chances... I suppose it also makes us look more desperate

So what's the purpose of the extra severity for a 'btp' incident?

Not really. If a footy player assaults another footy player outside of the game, I am happy for it to be dealt with as any other assault.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but i think we are forgetting one important thing and that is the impact all of this is having on Barry's mind, let alone upcoming performance win lose or draw the case and the Grand Final!

              lets presume hall doesnt play

i think it would be disrespectful to the other guys to get overly worried. The rest can play.

I think it will mean goodes has more pressure on him, ideally he takes over from hall. Another option is goodes rucks during the game, and ball plays forward, he was a goal kicker at west coast. Though he might play on gardiner.

Our midfield won us the game on friday by pumping it forward at all costs, all halls absence does is place extra pressure on okeefe, magic, davis and goodes, i think they can handle it.

I just hope hall plays, he deserves a shot and yes is valuable and our best player, but we can still win

Who is to say that it won't inspire him to stick it to the world, and he'll end up winning the Norm Smith Medal?

I assume the Swans management have told him: "Don't worry, you will be playing, get on with your normal routine". A voluntary media blackout for the players would not be out of the question.

Schuable could play on Gardiner. Goodes at CHF. LRT at CHB. And Leo Barry in Goodes role of anywhere he likes (May not have the stamina though).

i cant beleive this ********!!! Barry Hall should never have been made captain. Where the hell is his sense of responsibility?

How often are appeals successful at the tribunal? Can u think of many cases? I certainly cant.

And i think everyone should stop attacking the AFL and tribunal. The responsibility here rests entirely with Barry Hall. I dont hear anyone else saying that. That is the truth...he is 100% responsible for his action and now Sydney is going to suffer for it.

Apparently he doesn't read the papers anyway. No doubt he will be hurting but I think the Swans will have a pretty good case and have QC's lining up to take on the tribunal.

The match review panel should have met yesterday, charged Hall yesterday and then the tribunal could have happened this afternoon (not tonight obviously because of the Brownlow).

It's ridiculous that they didn't meet on a Sunday when the prelims had already been done and dusted.

I agree, it was a stupid act by a bonehead not worthy of the captaincy but we still have to hope he gets off.

He'd be the only player dumb enough to believe it too.

Those thinking he's certain to get off on the "in play" criteria:
Do you realise the ball was heading off to their forward line, and Hall and MacGuire were jogging back to position ?
