May be available as long as someone can confirm they know first aid.

Probably quicker than waiting for an emergency room - this is NSW after all.

Hey guys, I hope you don't mind me asking, but my best mate is gagging to play, and play against me, cos he's such a competetive bastard.

His name is David, he's 5'6" and 80kg (I think I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt there).

He's organised a Swan guernsey etc from workmates who are Swan fans. And he's busting to play against me and another workmate of his, who's a Blues man.

I hope that's OK. If your team is full, let me know.
I'm a Carlton Fan. Deal with it.

I have a first aid certificate, as does another one of the guys on our side. But we should organise a rudimentary kit, just in case.

Don't worry, we've got a couple of guys keeping an eye on the all important Amber Anaesthetic.

                    Any news on venue?

My preference is for Gore Hill Oval, followed by SCG Praccy oval.

Is there anyone on this board with an ear to the ground of which ovals are being used and when?

You won't have much trouble against footy clubs for grounds that weekend with all finals being at 2 venues from memory (someone confirm - Henson and ??). But whether grounds like Gore Hill will still be set up for footy - I doubt it... At least the Bus Stop Oval stays set up pretty much year round with the right number of sticks at each end. Plus it doesn't have a nice solid synthetic cricket pitch smack bang in the centre...

Having said that I'm not even available to play so *fingers crossed* for a good match with no injuries and a nice big RWO win!

Think you will find they are both at the dustbowl (aka Henson Park)

I've left a message with Centennial Parklands about the Bus Loop Oval - no reply as yet, but apparently they look after the booking of it.

If we can use it, what day & time suits?

                                From Parklands...

"Unfortunately Bus Loop Oval is unavailable until 18 September. It has just undergone irrigation works and the turf needs some time to recover."
