I think Adelaide would be the most likely destination out of the two SA clubs for Fosdike.
Port won't want to trade their early draft picks or either pick up more mature players in this early stage of rebuilding.
I don't think we'd get anymore than a 2nd round pick for Fossie. I'm pretty sure he's at the end of his (rather high end) contract and he's certainly increased his trade-ability with his two GF performances.
This trade could be crucial to getting Everitt, if we do decide to go down that path.
Bas i was being faececious about Stevens. He did go alright this year though. Definitely need probably 2 more mature bodied talls in the side though to release Leo and the likes to the 3rd forward
Obvious areas are Ruck, Midfield divisions and then tall strong bodies in defence.
The midfield could possibly work itself out with the development of McVeigh (who I believe should be let off the leash and play in the middle next year), Malceski (see McVeigh) and possibly Moore coming good on the early promise he has shown. These developments would possibly allow for the trading of Fosdike and one other midfielder.
I would tell Barham or anyone else in the recruitment area to go and get us players along the likes of Kepler Bradley (198cm and only 21 later this year), possibly Jaymie Graham/Brent Staker. All of these players would have possible reasons for wanting to leave their clubs eg. lack of opportunities or staleness. Just get one of these and watch Roosy make him a permanent fixture in our team. I recall Bradley being a champion junior Ruckman who I am sure would relish the opportunity to play there.
Give the above guys the same opportunities that Richards got this year and with the right attitude they would become very handy additions.
At the risk of stating the bleeding obvious.
We had him.
We didn't want him.
He didn't want us.
We got rid of him.
"It's up to the rest of the players in the room to make a new batch of premiership players next year," Adam Goodes, triple Bob Skilton Medallist, October 7, 2011.
By the way not sure what his attitude is like but Polak was a very handy player in previous seasons - May also be of interest as a strong bodied full back.
I'd like to see us go for that Jared Brennan from Brisbane. He's a big talent who has underachieved under the Matthews regime, and I reckon he'd go well under Roos.
agree macgregor could be a good pick up. he's a natural backman and a good mark, very strong. doesn't seem like a @@@@head either. shame if we lost fosdike - do you think they'd be interested in chambers instead?

Chambers isn't exactly what i'd call 'quality'. Would they take him?
