If we want to get decent names in a trade, we can't possibly use Crouch, Barry, Mathews, et al. They play a role for us, but would be of limited use elsewhere. If we are serious about recruiting a gun midfielder, or a decent KPP, we have to think about names like Jude Bolton, Ryan O'Keefe etc.

To attract class, we need to OFFER class.
Agree Des, would like us to stick with what we have got at present (as it has worked) and hope that we can get improvement from our younger players on the list.

We just lost a GF by a point, if you add Crouch & Everitt to that side, get more improvement from Malceski, McVeigh & Richards and the hope that one or two of Moore, Schmidt, Willoghby, Laidlaw, Barbazon and the like will come into the team over the year, we are then going to be around the mark again.

We should keep our top 2 draft picks as this is going to be a ripper of a draft.

O'Keefe is a gun midfielder. Why would you lose one to get one. O'Keefe is at the peak of his career. He aint going anywhere. Fantasy to even mention his name in trade talk.

the only worry I have is that Moore and Willoghby are both undersized midfielders who might get physically intimidated by bigger players like Judd.

Why break up a team which was 30 seconds from back to back flags. Use our top picks for draft picks. If Everitt puts a stipulation of money and duration on his services that any other pursuiter bauks at then we get him for nothing as he is out of contract. Usually in the preseason draft players seem to end up with the club that they want to go to. eg. B2. St K is the big danger with Everett because they can get half his salary outside the sdalary cap due to his verteran status there.

But remember when you look at Everett, Polak, Tarrant, Gardiner etc you are playing with fire in terms of upsetting the swans strong player code. You can't risk giving ND any mates to tempt him away from the straight and narrow.
Those who have the greatest power to hurt us are those we love.

b1 I can handle, but if they offer the fridge (aka whitegoodes, aka Rok) then we deserve the spoon...he kept us in the game in the 1st half...

                  maybe baz??

I cant help feeling vitriolic towards him........2 missed sitters.......and 7 points down, same spot as last year he handpasses 2 metres away from the target..........why not have the shot.

The loss sits on his and jollys head.

I hope i mis-read when you are offering to trade a player that has won us games off his own boot and provided a great target for our defenders or midfielders to kick to. Oh, and AA too.

Of course it wont, but it sits firmly on his head.
