Yup, I meant '06 but cut me some slack. '96 hurt too.

You have 3 clubs who have done some level of due diligence on Cousins, some of them apparently painstakingly detailed. His on-field talent can't be doubted. All 3 have passed.

It might just be 'cos they're all pusillanimous fools scared of their sponsors and negative publicity. But inferior players (e.g. Pike, Angwin) have been granted 2nd or 3rd chances before. Chances are there's a reason why Cousins hasn't.

As for Sydney picking him: come on! We're not in the hunt, we never were in the hunt, we never will be in the hunt. And yet we've got over 100 replies arguing back and forth about that? You might as well argue the toss about whether Sydney should entice Wayne Carey out of retirement.

Roos just interviewed on SEN live at the draft. No go for Ben Cousins.

If there's anything you learn following the Swans it's to deny the evidence, refute the experts, ignore common sense and believe that a last minute miracle is possible.

Until the squad is 100% complete, I'm thinking that Cousins can still be a Swan.

Isn't that the same about the majority of threads on here? To deny people that right is censorship/dictatorship at its worst. Mind you some of the self righteous clap trap is a bit much IMO. I don't care what any player does off the field, it is what they do on the field that I care about. As long as they perform there I don't care about their personal lives. Mind you, if more people had that attitude, the majority of Football "journalists" would be out of a job.

No he didn't, he took illegal "recreational" drugs. There is also no evidence that he ever played under the influence of said drugs ie he never had a positive drug test.

You can pontificate all you want, your entitled to do that, it doesn't mean you are right though.

Tina Cousins is a drug addict - that is why not... Kings Cross has enough all ready!

is our list actually full now...
i know we are not going to be active in the PSD...is that because we have a full list or we chose not to particpate...

Personally and i ahve said many a time in this thread..he would be great for us and the swans would be great for him..
i met him personally just over a week ago, had a brief chat..he looked good and fit as a mally bull...
he would be more fit that i reckon 70-80% of any player in the comp..

at the end of the day Cuz admitted he had a problem, never tested psoitive..there are how many players in the comp that ACTUALLY tested positive....
