Isn't it good to know that, if we take him, the Swans regard him as repairable? If we don't either he's not or we don't need him. After our recruiting this year, the selectors have so many credits in the love bank.

Edit - those credits would be completely expended if we made an offer for Fev.

McKaigue (Irish import) may well prove to be a keeper. He appears to love bash and crash, has learned a heap in a small period of time, has improved a great deal, and I like him. Not love mind you, but I do like him.

I dreamt that Cheese went to GC and Nick Smith went to Richmond. Ok on the first part, but the second made it more of a nightmare.

I hope we get to see McKaigue play in the seniors. Fiery little fella - I'd love to see him hand it out to one or two of our favourite love-to-hate opponents! Half the entertainment would be seeing their confusion as to exactly what the hell he was saying to them, but I think they'd get the sentiment.

These are the type of players the club loves to swoop on. He's on the outer but has so much to offer. As Robbo mentioned, he can also play down back- he was recruited as a backman. Kicked 50 goals last year so we know he can provide support up forward.

When the heat is on he crumbles mentally. Malthouse has had enough. I think they will trade him just about anywhere he wants to go BUT BE WARNED damaged goods.

Besides, it wouldn't really feel like a trade week if we didn't trade with Collingwood.

I would think that Stuey M would be able to sort this out - give him one of his "looks" and wait.......stronger men have cumbled before that deadly gaze. Even at the Fan Day when I said to the panel "that's mean" when they confirmed Stuey would be running, I could see they thought the same, you do not lie to Stuey - he will always catch you at it.

We haven't actually brought in an out and out tool since 2002.....that's a pretty good record. Its also a very smart record. So now, we all have to sit and wait.

Have a look at the last four there! If our currently steaming hot selectors think Anthony is anywhere near fit to grace that list tell 'em they're dreaming. Mind you he is a beautiful set shot at goal, might have given Bradshaw some pointers for Saturday night.

                      Anyone for a Shermanator?

Justin Sherman latest to flee Brisbane Lions den | The Australian

SPEEDY midfielder/forward Justin Sherman yesterday confirmed he was the Brisbane Lions' next salary-cap relief casualty.

Richmond heads a list of clubs keen on gaining the contracted player's services, with Sydney also holding red-hot interest.
Also according to Horse, the Cheese is on display.

Roos let loose - Sydney's top paddock now under Longmire's control

Longmire said there had been some young players, disappointed at not being able to break into the senior team, who are unsure about their position at the club, and whether their futures may lie elsewhere. He will talk to them before making decisions about trade week, but said Ed Barlow would like to look at any trade opportunities which may arise.

A BIG yes to Justin Sherman. He is quick, tackles, shuts down, runs the lines, kicks goals. A good addition to our midfield rotations if we can land him.

We will now see the penalty for finishing 5th with many other suitors having higher picks than us to offer Brisbane for Sherman. Unless we throw in Cheese as well!

Yes please- would love to get Sherman to the club, even if it meant that we had to give up our first round pick for him. I think we'd have a decent shout to get him- though it sounds like Richmond are interested and willing to throw plenty of cash at him. He is only 23 as well, but already has played 114 games of AFL so has some good experience. I'd certainly be happy to see him in Red and White.

I think Sherman would be a fantastic addition to the club. Has the pace to be a decent ball carrier and can kick goals. A 2nd round pick plus a player could seal the deal.

Looks like we were about to raid the Hawks again.

Swans had interest in recruiting Travis Tuck

SYDNEY was investigating the possibility of recruiting Hawthorn's Travis Tuck before learning that the player had three positive drug tests under the AFL's illicit drugs policy.

The Swans, who have made a huge success of recruiting discarded or unwanted players from other clubs, have confirmed that they were ''monitoring'' Tuck - as with a number of other AFL players in the VFL - with a view to perhaps recruiting him at the end of this season.
