New? Didn't the club try to persuade young Langford to accept a scholarship rather than go to the Hawks?

Sure, but who does he replace in the 22? 114 games in 6 years shows he's not a fringe player, and wouldn't want to come here if he wasn't assured his spot (form and injury permitting). So who do you boot out?

Tuck's raw numbers are actually pretty good. Averaged 20.5 touches over 11 games in 2009. Larger sized (188cm 88kg) like Josh Kennedy, I guess the biggest factor holding him back was his kicking, which as we've stated before seems to be more important to Hawthorn than it is to Sydney.

Tuck is a risk given his medical condition. The anonymous Sydney scene may benefit this condition . Sherman I rate quite highly but finding him a spot without jeopodising ? our Youngsters would be a problem. Anthony would be a handy addition to TDL as an accurate forward who only needs 3-4 touches for 3-4 goals. All depends on who we are giving up and where we see our current squads future.

I wouldn't get Jack Anthony, we have TDL who is a great shot and will only get better no doubt as he gets bigger bodied.
Sherman a possibility if we caqnt get a yng midfielder that is stuck in the two's form one of the better perfrmed teams.....

Good to hear Barlow wants to be traded.....

Ben McKinley wants out of WC. Now he would be a good pick up. He would slot nicely into our forward line and doesn't have issues like Anthony. At 23 he would fit nicely with our younger brigade going forward and would be in our best 22.

Straight swap for an inconsistent 27 yr old utility? Ha!

Why? Wouldn't he take up exactly the spot that we hope TDL will make his own? He's essentially a small to medium leading forward without great speed who can kick a few goals but doesn't have many other tricks. TDL is less experienced and less physically developed but potentially has more strings to his bow. Not sure that you could fit both into a forward line.

Not true. Suns have used their "one uncobtracted player" from each club on Rischitelli... It's not going to be a cake walk for them to get him.

Hack. Has some skills but now has No speed. It's like crossing Bevan with Kirk. Sure he's heart's in it but he'll just get run down every day the.

We'll take one of Juddy's sweaty socks for Barlow. Move him on.

I really like Nathan Djerrkura ever since I saw a tv piece on his background. I also once had him in a fantasy team but unfortunately he was only filling in. Other than that I can't add anything much to the debate but would still love him at the Swans.
Now your talking. Some talent in this kid. Him, TDL, Jetta, Hanners, Rohan, Reid could be the spine of the Swans in 5 years.

James Sellar (Adelaide) - 21years old. Gun forward as junior. At AFL level thus far, he does not have a good record having kicked just 3 goals in 16 games. However, Adelaide have tended to use him as a backup ruckman rather than as a key forward. A bit like Jesse White, at 196 cm he's a little too short to be effective in this role. Depending on the price (3rd rounder perhaps and/or fringe player like Barlow/MOD), could be worth a punt.

John Anthony (Collingwood) - On the fringes of the strong Collingwood side. Junior backman who was thrown up forward with great success. Noted for his goalkicking accuracy (80.36) but at the same time has question marks over his agility and whether he's a one-trick pony (even if that trick is very good ). I don't think the asking price would be cheap either (not knowing his contract status)

Mitch Brown (West Coast) - Drafted as a forward but this year has spent more time in the backline for the Weagles. Struggles in this role in the wrestling and body-to-body contests, but perhaps would do better as a lead up forward with his athleticism.

Brad Miller (delisted) - GC are reportedly after him and he is a bit older than some of the others mentioned here (27 years). Has the size but maybe not the kicking skills.

Sam Rowe (Norwood SANFL) - One of our former rookies, has really blossomed at SANFL level. 4th in the SANFL goalkicking list. Athletic tall (198cm), strong marking, mobile forward who competes well at ground level too. As an added bonus can also play in defence.

Mitch Thorp (Werribee VFL) - Can't say I've followed him this year but his name has popped up a few times over at BF. High draft pick in that so-called 2006 SuperDraft.

Just some names for discussion, I'm sure that there'll be a lot of raised eyebrows and shakes of the head.

Yes, no, yes, no, no yes.

                              Next....

That's the issue now. We have good potential all over the ground. Our recruiters have done a great job and most spots are well covered with depth in the reserves. I think we simply have to replace those who are leaving with similar (or better if we can) prospects. We need to see what Horse will do with White,Vespa,MOD, Reid.Rohan. As posters on here have said ,no point getting what we already have. Our depth was tested to the limit this season and all we did was play better.
