We're -1 on last year's list after Kirk and Thornton have departed and (I am assuming) Pyke is promoted. We can draft as few as 2 if we want (with Pyke to count as the other) but 3 is probably more likely. So that means two players to be cut unless a veteran is moved outside the main list.

Why do you think drafting 3 is more likely? It's a case of deciding whether they think whoever is around at 56 will be worth more or less than keeping someone like Barlow or O'Dwyer around for another year (or even promoting another rookie besides Pyke)

We'll use three picks for sure. Maybe use the Vets outside the list option this year if we want to retain Ed and or MOD. The new interchange will favour endurance players so Ed may not be dead yet but might be on life support!

Pick 141.....I'm a rough hope at that pick. I'm a plucky forward pocket who doesn't move too far up the ground and would need to be interchanged every couple of minutes. I also can't kick over a jam tin or hit water from a boat. Come to think of it I'm probably a better fit for the Eagles...
..And the Swans are the Premiers...The Ultimate Team...The Ultimate Warriors. They have overcome the highly fancied Hawks in brilliant style. Sydney the 2012 Premiers - Gerard Whately ABC

Looks like we're set to pick 4 players in the draft.

In general, more players we plan to draft = more space needed on the list = more players we have to delist

But those sausages and onions with copious gravy might just get you on the skin fold tests.

                            1 - Marc Murphy

Pretty scary in 5 years time!
Not really that scary a couple of ruckmen, a decent half back flanker and a few above average mids that team consisting of those guys would come no where near winning the flag this year, would probably struggle to make the 8 if those were your best 8 players

Yes, GC are the really big winners from Trade Week. Monster club backed by GC wealth in the making!

Appreciate a link being posted whenever the AFL gets around to issuing the new National Draft order. Time now to cast our eyes over potential pick 21s
But will all these draft picks be super stars as many think? What if Gazza goes down with a knee injury? Will the kids be able to resist the good times of the Gold Coast? They will have to draft as well in future years like everyone else. There are no guarantees in this caper and there is one thing they will still have to do; win games.

May I deflate your tyres a tad Ugg.

                                Murphy - yes
Thomas - serviceable up until 2010 when he hit his straps
Ellis - many Hawks supporters think he is serviceable but soft. No star by any evaluation
Ryder - plenty of injuries and yet to set the world on fire. His side has struggled
                                Clark - good strong player
                                Drum - didn't make it
                                Higgins - injury riddled
Hurn - booming kick for the wooden spooners. had injuries and I see him as average footballer.

What is on paper doesn't necessarily materialise on the ground.
