Terry Wallace said earlier today on TWR that the Swans are probably the most skilled player at Trade week. They never do anything without a specific purpose and always carefully target the players they want.
I'd say that this trade week would not be any different. I can't imagine there would be any trades with the Saints with the players on offer or anything last minute.Last edited by Big Al; 14 October 2011, 05:46 AM.In memory of my little Staffy - Dicey, 17.06.2005 to 1.12.2011- I'll miss you mate.Comment

Just a reminder of your original post that made absolutely no sense in response to mine. Thanks.Comment

Surely we wont let LJ go for Armstrong, as is being hinted in the media.
LJ has tremendous upside as a second or third forward.
Not sure about Armstrong, he looks like a handy HB flanker, good skills, light build, average speed.
Meredith would be a more appropriate swap.Whenever you find yourself on the side of the majority, it's time to pause and reflect... MTComment

No chance of Swans players to GWS in this trade period.
Silvagni on TWR now (10am) has said that once they secure Power and a few other retirees (that have been mentioned - Cornes and Brogan) by Sunday, that is it for them for Trade week.In memory of my little Staffy - Dicey, 17.06.2005 to 1.12.2011- I'll miss you mate.Comment

So you want the poor bugger to languish in the NEAFL just in case Mummy gets injured.
He deserves to the no.1 at a club. He's obviously asked for a trade and good on the club for exploring that option.
Pyke is improving all the time and Currie had an outstanding year in the NEAFL so it's not as though we are out of options if Mummy goes down.Comment

AFL REcord 2011 Bible doesn't say much about Armstrong apart from that he impressed with his disposal and composure under pressurre. Had a game high 20 kicks against North in Rd 8 2010. Highly skilled half-back/midfielder to miss first 4 games in 2011 as a result of a Club sanction. Taken in 2007 Draft, fourth round selection No 58 overall.
So I would have thought that LJ was first of better draft quality (2008 Draft - Pick 12) and had done more on the field for a direct swap.In memory of my little Staffy - Dicey, 17.06.2005 to 1.12.2011- I'll miss you mate.Comment

TWR and Wallace is saying that a 3rd round selection for Seaby (Port pick 47) is about right. He thinks Swans are after Port pick 29 and that is what is holding the trade up.In memory of my little Staffy - Dicey, 17.06.2005 to 1.12.2011- I'll miss you mate.Comment
