Just for a bit of perspective, grundy held roughhead goalless (I think?) in the grand final.

Maybe, but the Orange Roughie has kicked 1 goal (in total) in his last 5 (since kicking a massive 2 against GC). He's hardly been on fire at the pointy end of the season.

He plays full forward. He is a full forward. With Pyke and Mumford in the ruck Tippett wont be required to ruck. I think the GF showed us we have 2 ruckman who can play together regardless of sub rules. And they will only get better. The area that I see where Tippett has to improve is his forward pressure. That's if we snag him.

I think they will want a lot more than a second round pick. We are now down to number 24 in Round 1 that is getting extended with every unrestricted player moving, so number 24+ for Adelaide is not necessarily that flash. I reckon we take Tippett for whatever it takes and maybe trade a couple, then jump into the draft for the best possible youth we can get. I suspect the salary cap will dictate that strategy. Rookie list could be a bit skinny this year. We have to delist at least 3.

I am not just talking about ruck stocks - I feel that we will be too top heavy if we play all our talls (Grundy, LRT, Richards, Mumford, Pyke, Reid, Johnson - and then Tippett, if we get him) next year in our 22.

Oh geezus do not want this bloke at all. He's overrated, he's one concussion away from retiring and I do not want to lose any of our premiership players for him. We've obviously offered him plenty of money and what would the other players think? This is not like sydney at all, and to be honest i'd be very disappointed if this overrated mercenary came.

I wonder if they'll make Tippett toil a bit in the Reserves to work on his forward pressure - I'd be pretty upset if I was Mitch Morton and Tippett just strolls into a senior position!
