Every official report on the deal is looking more and more in our favour. I am increasingly feeling that we are not even offering our end of 1st round pick, as I think the deal could have been done with that. As with some of the previous posts, this deal may well be just about done, but it is so bad from the perspective of Adelaide, that they will wait till the last minute to seal the deal, so that Adelaide can appease their fans by saying they had not choice, it was either take it or get nothing.

I don't think we will be giving up anything substantial in either picks or players. Some recent commentary suggests that this draft is not all that deep and I think we would like to have at least 1 shot at getting a rated young player in the draft.

I'm not so sure about the 2nd fiddle. The story is Roos guaranteed him a starting role if he joined the Club. He was told he would play every week if he did everything right. Were the changes to the sub rule made before or after he signed because that affected the playing of 2 rucks. I think Seaby's early season form was unexpected. Maybe even a blessing in disguise which whipped Mummy into gear. He was enormous in the 2nd half of 2010.

So anyway, back to Tippett ........

So nothing much has changed then ?

Lots of speculation but no real developments. I will go back to listening to the temper trap for the enjoyment of reliving the evening at the MCG just two weeks ago.

I hear Gold coast dont want tippett, so we will forget about a trade with Adelaide and just pick him at pick 22. very simple.

Ireland said that the Swans wouldn't do that. He said that they had a good reputation trading and would not want to tarnish that.
Nothing like a good light bulb moment.

Ah, my dream senario for acquiring Tippett Ludwig. If we could keep our 1st round pick and all our young promising players, it would be extraordinarily good. May you and KB be on the same page.

If Kurt had gone to GCS, Adelaide would have received their 2nd round pick, so why should it be different with us? Still, it is very hard to imagine it happening like that though.

That's fair enough. Don't wanna give up the farm, but don't want too screw the Crows on this one either - who know when we'll need to plunder their talent again....

My prediction, based on nothing but guessing is:

Jesse White to go to Gold Coast for pick 44
Sydney give up picks 22 and 44 for Kirk Tippett

Sydney?s draft picks will then be:
                    42, 61, 79

                    Sydney lose:
                    1. Jarrard Moore (delisted)
                    2. Mark Seaby (delisted)
                    3. Jude Bolton (retired)
                    4. Jesse White (traded)

                    Sydney gain:
                    1. Kirk Tippett
                    2. Draft 42, aiming for what's left on the list in a speedy wingman/midfield
                    3. Draft 61, aiming for what's left on the list in a young delevoping ruckman
                    4. Draft 79, aiming for the next best player
                    5. If Jude Bolton does retire: another pick in the Pre-Season draft? Two veterans in Adam Goodes and Ryan O?Keefe mean they could add a 40th player to the list.

                      Tippett?

42, 61, 79. Dud picks, all you could hope for there is a Parker, an Alex Johnson and maybe a Mitch Morton....

Jesse's family are in Melbourne, so his prefered destination would be there. Maybe Melbourne if the Dawes deal falls over.

Wouldn't be dud picks if you got players like that.

                            or Craig Bird pick 60?
