I wonder if he had a chat with his manager at the time about it.
    Seriously why would you?
You don't ban those who supported your opponent, you make them wallow in their loserdom by covering your victory! You sit them in the front row. You give them a hat! Toby Ziegler

I have this mental picture of Stuey Maxfield and KT in a room, with KT having to explain himself to Stuey. Now I am not intimidated by many, but I do admit Stuey does make me feel like I should have owned up and I don't even know what I did wrong!!!! Love the man to pieces, but he has always had that affect on me. Understated honesty and integrity, no excuses.

So, if the powers that be still want KT, then so be it. Its not like in the last ten years or so we could call any of them to account for their actions, and everything has been fairly transparent (except during the draft period, NO leaks whatsoever......its so annoying!).

Unless he was totally unaware of the deal, which I doubt.

Aware of the deal? Or aware the deal was not lodged correctly with the afl?

Many players are on third party agreements. Why would a 22 year old who was represented by a manager ask if his particular deal was a concern for his conscience? Or Likely to get him deregistered?

I always have to remind myself that KT was 22 when this happened, and a pro footy player who employs others to take care of this sort of stuff for him. It's not the same way of dealing with things like most of us have had to over our adult lives.

When I was 22 I was bluffed by adults and presumed they had covered everything I hadn't thought of. The number of zeros wasn't similar but the issue is the same. I doubt if he cross examined his manager very closely.

                  Tippett?

I guess it depends if he saw the first letter letting him NOT to show it to the AFL. If he had only seen the second letter then it would be pretty easy to say he had no idea it was wrong.

Remember that the Melbourne Storm players claimed that they were unaware of their secret contracts too. I don't know how many believed them but they themselves were not suspended from playing.

I doubt we are dealing with a mensa graduate here. Must admit I (at a MUCH later age) believed everything I was told about my financial projections and followed the advice to the bone; is all I have to say.

So benefit of doubt for a 22 yo - yeah, probably.

Sorry, but at 22 you've been an adult for 4 years.
You may be naive at times, but not stupid.
Regardless of what he says, he was in this at the time - off the record or not.
Can the AFL prove this though?
