That's logical. It is his reward for being the first Crows player to do a juvenile tweet about KT.

Hey Alan. Why waste space on saying you are sorry if you misspelt (you got that one right). Just pop the word in the google bar and it will tell you if you are right. How do I know. I used to do the same.

The main feature to me was the role of the mids running forward and kicking the goals. You would think with KT on board and with Morton playing a role and later on Membrey working together with them and Reid, the reliance on the mids for goals is not going to be so great.

Interesting to see how the game plan for 2013 is going to evolve. To stay on top we have got to keep the opposition guessing (I loved James Hird's comment that 'that is not the way the Swans play' when we were thumping the Bombers) so it should be fun! However it will depend a bit on whether KT actually becomes a Swan!!
I liked our forward line this year and how it functioned because WE WON THE FLAG!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just up on the AFL website, Sheedy starting to question whether GWS want to spend that much on Tippett. Looking like a backpedal to me.

Can't see them drafting a player who doesn't want to go there and hasn't even met with them.

Would love to see Tippett in our forward line and hope we can keep our unpredictability.

I suspect most of the stuff attributed to Tippett - in particular that in August he committed to the Gold Coast - is more due to his dad and manager than himself. Allowing him to delist is the only fair outcome. Let the AFL deal with the Crows and his management over their dodgy dealings.
I have heard John Longmire say that every year you have to change something in your gameplan, and that nothing stays the same because the opposition quickly pick up on it. So I expect a variation to the slingshot style and I expect clubs to try to mimmick the slingshot style of ours of 2012. By adding another power forward to the team that can change the dimension. By the way, in all this talk about KT there is a bloke by the name of Sam Reid who is ready to explode in 2013. His last quarter in the GF was pretty good, and for a bloke of his experience to be going strong at the end of the toughest game of the season bodes well for 2013.

Typical Sheedy - Playing the media to get a few more headlines. That's what he's there for I guess, but in my mind there was never any chance of them really wanting KT.....

Spot on Nico. Tippett and Sammy in the same forward line would be a nightmare for the opposition.

If the top opposition defernedr is now drawn to Tippett, how much better is Reid going to play? I like the idea of that.

I don't think we can automatically assume this.Surely you would say a forward line with Buddy and Roughead with Hale dropping down would be a nightmare for the opposition but it wasn't! We cut off the supply and that whole set up becomes dysfunctional.Big guys who can only play one way are potential match winners but are also predictable. Our strength was our unpredictable forward line and Mitch Morton was the ACE card played by Longmire.I think most defenders would prefer standing Tippett to standing Goodes who is totally unpredictable.
Look our forward set up in 2012 ended up ok after Morton and Goodes made it much more lethal.

At least the other shoe dropped. Have been waiting for the retraction. Talk about a newshound.

Hope KT gets what he wants. We get what we want. Crows get what they deserve. Turkey gets KT's number. KT gets what number he chooses (not 31). I get post 2667. We all win eventually.

KT provides a backing job for Sam. Mitch continues his upward trajectory.

PS: Can you imagine the nightmares involved with that forward line's opposition. Looks like the Sydney Nightmare's succession (Goodsey) plan is in order.

We can't automatically assume anything but as GS14 said with Tippett taking the best defender I just think Sammy will have a cracking 2013.

What all this does show though is that Horse will many many options to choose from in his forward set up next year.

                              Tippett?

Tippetts inclusion also provides us with a fair bit of depth for talls, which If injury strikes, will be very valuable. The downside of having a lot of quality talls of course is that not all will be able to fit into the 22 on a weekly basis. It would be sad to see LRT or Pyke , a favorite of mine, getting pushed out of the 22 and running around in the 2's. Is it possible you can have a side wth TIppett, Pyke, Mummy, LRT, Reid, as well as three tall defenders ( one a running type in AJ) ? I wouldn't think so.

Mummy and Pyke are rucks. LRT gives versatility to play forward and back. I reckon all 5 can play. AJ is not a KPP so can't be classed as tall from where I sit. In the end lets hope form dictates who plays.
